Arkansas State quarterback Fredi Knighten will miss Saturday's home game against Missouri State and maybe a road game against Toledo the following week with a pulled groin, ASU coach Blake Andrson said Monday.

His not playing this Saturday is definite. The Toledo game availability will be determined at a later date.

Could be a red herring, but if he actually is still out for our game it will be huge. Their #2 is a pocket passer and I doubt very much that their OL can withstand the onslaught of our DL.

RsFr James Tabary 6'2" 195 lbs is suppose to be a better passer than Knighten. I haven't seen him in action but definitely will take a look at the Missouri State game. If he is the starter against the Rockets I would guess
his performance would be vastly improved in his second start.

tabard looked pretty talented in the part of the missouri game i watched. knighten is dangerous for a mediocre defense because he can run and throw, but i think our d this year will contain him.
