QBR Rating
Your thoughts on ESPN's Total Quarterback Rating?

After two games, Brent Stockstill has the highest QBR in the league and second in the nation. That's impressive considering one of those two games was against one of the best defenses in the nation.

Perhaps a more polarizing thought on this...Birdsong is last in the league.

RE: QBR Rating
Last year, Doughty, Cato and Heinicke went 1, 2, 3 so it seems legit.

Grammer was fifth with a QBR of 57.1. Stocks first two game QBR is 88. It's just two games but seems to validate the decision.

True and not to gloss over the Jackson St game but the 82.4 against Bama is still higher than any other quarterbacks current two game rating.

I'd rather wait until December, when he wins CUSA POY and title game MVP.

I think yours is pure passer rating vs this
http://247sports.com/Gallery/Top-10-quar...r-39434619

They claim to account for running, as well as talent of the D's faced and penalties drawn etc.

In all seriousness, ESPN's rating takes into account the quality of the defense faced. Of course, that too is at least partially projected as we are only two games in.

The kid had a great game against a weak fcs school and a good game against one of the better defenses. Well usually better, still have to wait for this season to develop to say that. But for a freshman playing his first road game...very good game

Jackson freaking st ????????

If you click on the glossary you get this

ADJ QBR: Adjusted Total Quarterback Rating, which values the quarterback on all play types on a 0-100 scale adjusted for the strength of opposing defenses faced (available beginning in October of each season)

Yes I see the ranking I was looking at was passing

I hardly ever use this term but your obvious butt hurt over this - at current - rather meaningless stat is freaking hilarious. I was just curious what folks thought about the QBR in general and used Stockstill in the example because he currently has the highest. But I'm thoroughly amused that this bothers you so much that Stockstill is rated higher than your boy.

RE: QBR Rating
When people use 'butt-hurt' (I thought people stopped using it) they are usually projecting butt-hurt of their own. Or whatever word we're using now.
