Trump's 13 minute National Security Speech
Donald Trump had an aircraft carrier as a backdrop (though this one is now a museum, he wasn't wearing a flight suit, and there was no "mission accomplished" banner to be seen) and the friendly audience of a conservative dark money group fundraiser, but does this surprise anyone?

Trump came here to give what was advance-billed by event organizers as a "major national security speech," though it clocked in at a lean 13 minutes and was again notably short on specifics.

Just to clarify, the Iowa is/was not an aircraft carrier. It's a battleship.

I'm starting to wonder if he's paying people to attend. He never says anything new...he never provides anything specific...and the media covers nearly all these speeches live on television.

Maybe they're going just to see the "show"?

Trump will be terrific at the military. Trump went to a very tough military school and got the highest marks.

If I recall, it has generally been republican candidates that give speeches on ships. Bush and the infamous "Mission Accomplished" comes to mind.

I think Romney did it once too.

I'd take that flight suit and mission accomplished banner. Its a hell of a lot better than the empty suit and "mission surrendered" banner we currently have.

Ummm...Bush negotiated the 'surrender' as you call. Also, Iraq wanted us to leave as well.

Except that it doesn't...at all.

Have you seen this?
Quote:Among other things, the Republican presidential front-runner suggested it was not yet important for him to know the difference between Hezbollah and Hamas, the Islamic militant groups based in Lebanon and Palestine.
Donald Trump just had an awkward foreign-policy interview where he admitted he didn't know many of the answers

LoL... at this point, any liberal who mentions the "Mission Accomplished" incident either doesn't know the facts behind it, or is being intentionally dishonest. Either way, it's laughable at this point.

Yea, it's false prophets that use things like fake Greek Columns 03-lmfao and talk about stuff like his healing oceans and such.

Certainly it's been a fruitful and smooth, quiet 6 1/2 years. 03-lmfao
