This isn't smack talk, just got to call out a few here who said Bryce Williams was nothing when he transferred from Marshall to ECU. He has actually been a great player and huge target at IWR/TE and even playing at H back in few formations. Florida's DC said he was one tuff "F-er" to bring down. He went beast mode on UF's D several times last Saturday. He is a great kid and a damn good TE/IWR.

Against Florida he had 9 catches for 83 yards and TD.

Had to come over and give him props and say that either those few that bashed him either were talking smack or the coaches didn't know what they had.

Congrats, glad to see he's doing well. It worked out for him and both schools because Marshall has been fine at TE without him. Its hard to believe he still has eligibility... I recall him being a late addition/walk on with Doc's first recruiting class. Maybe it was his second? Either way it's been a LONG time since he was on Marshall's roster.

He is a senior this year. He's been somewhat under used being in the same slot position as Justin Hardy. Now two games in to this year he has been going beast mode on people. He gave VT and UNC fits last year. We are jokingly calling him our Gronk. For someone his size he can also break some ankles in the open field. His development as great. Funniest thing is when we line him up at OWR matched up against a 5-11 CB, the size difference just makes you laugh.

Good for him. Glad to see any kid do well. If memory serves me correctly, he was behind Gator Hoskins and Eric Frohnapfel at the time he was here. Both those guys went on to play professional ball. Gator with Miami, Eric with the Chargers. Hopefully Bryce can move on to the next level as well.

If he keeps going beast mode on people, I think he can. As good as he is playing the coaches say he hasn't reached his full potential. But, even at the end of UF he was gassed the coaches told your staying in, he just kept catching passes and trucking defenders.

He went to the same high school that I attended. Neat.
