1988 NIU-Wisconsin Highlights
Here's a blast from the past. Extended highlights of the Huskies 19-17 win over the Badgers, which is the only NIU victory in the series. I've posted this before, but it was down for awhile due to a change in my Google account info.

Gotta give a shoutout to my buddy, #84 - John Ivanic. John kicked four FGs in the game, including the game winner with 1:24 left. Side note - Ivanic kicked his FGs and PATs off a tee during the 1987 and 1988 seasons. After the 1988 season, the NCAA eliminated the use of tees by placekickers. Despite having to adjust to kicking off the ground, John still made a high percentage of his kicks in the 1989 and 1990 seasons. In the 73-18 win over Fresno State in 1990, Ivanic was 5/5 on FGs and kicked 8 PATS. John had 253 career points for the Huskies and was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

That badger at 8:55 looks like something out of the Saw series

Ivanic's celebration after kicking the go ahead fg was hilarious. A must watch. There was still almost 2 min left in the game and he was jumping all over the place. That was great.

Great win.

I've met John before what a great guy. During the '13 Toledo game he 'accidentally' spilled beer all over a Toledo fan while cheering ecstatically. It was awesome

Adam Dach as a freshman looked like a beast. That wishbone is a pain in the ass to defend.

Sweet memory. My in-laws are from Madison. One of their neighbors had a son who was an assistant coach for the Badgers. He got us tickets, so I sat with a bunch of Badger fans. Great win!

That is actually Victor E Huskie, late 80's version.

The account must've just reposted it. I added the highlight package to the 50 Greatest list thread and it got taken off youtube right after that.

Whoever made the comment about cringing at some of Marshall Taylor's throws was right. Yeesh...

It was never "taken off." I had to delete an email address that the video was posted under. Just got around to re-posting it.

Thanks for posting from me also! I also thoroughly enjoyed it! I was always an Adam Dach fan and agree that even as a freshman he was a beast! Let's hope for an even bigger upset Saturday!
