Chimps poised for another pitiful loss to WMU
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=340&f=2793&t=14084960

Coming off their big win over GRCC the sassy Chips have decided that one game defines a career.

A number if interesting comments about Franklin, Davis, and our Oline being average.........all based on ONE game. Forget their stats from last year or how Davis torched CMU.

In turn they are bat chit crazy over 160 pound freshmen kick returner Emmitt Thomas. Thomas has yet to return a kick past the 25 but they are so thrilled that they actually have a recruit start as a freshmen that they're oblivious to his lack of production. Teams start freshmen for two reasons. They either have amazing talent such as Franklin/Davis, or they have no talent at the position.

I've been very critical over Saturday's preparation and performance, but barring key injuries the season starts when MAC play starts and the teams with "playemakers" will tell the story. UT, WMU, and BG have several.

funny how less than a week ago, pundits were saying WMU was the the "3rd best football team in the state, counting the Lions."

What Pundits. Does Flush count as a pundit?

I wish I could remember who said it, but I thought it was on national broadcast.

My head is still in the clouds...we left 9/5 for the Smokeys, then traveled to Nashville later. Still putting the pieces back together.

Or was it said during the broadcast of the game (I briefly watched the replay)??? I promise I am not making this up. At the time, I thought it was possibly true...then reality smacked me across the face (thanks to GSU).

Here is the link...I take it back...it was from SB Nation...it is a funny post though.

"That's P.J. Fleck, horse whisperer and creative dancer, who'll one day be the most famous man on earth. He might also have the third best football team in Michigan, counting the Detroit Lions."

CMU game coming at a good time. We'll probably be 1-3 coming off a bye week.

Beat Chimps at home and start the MAC season with some confidence-momentum.

If we lose to CMU this year (in similar fashion to 2013) I will lose it...that will truly be my breaking point. A loss this weekend, might also push me over the edge.

I know my expectations were sky high I fully expeced WMU to beat GA/S.The lopsided loss has me rethinking. cmu could sneak up on us like they did during the Darnell era when he was lookin for that big time job.I sure want to see the boys get their mojo back and kick some butt.

Can't stress this enough.
Either 1-3 or 0-4, a loss to CMU would be bad, bad, bad.
If you think people are really talking doomsday after this GA S game. . .. . .. . ..

We won't be 0-4... and we were Expected to be 1-3 going into it. But yeah, losing CMU at home would be bad, bad, bad. We'd need to win the MAC West to make up for that one - lol.

Just as Hawk can't teach a zone, maybe this staff can't prepare for the spread option.

That said, I expect this team to do well in the MAC simply because they have more weapons than most of their MAC opponents.

And when Chip says "weapons", he actually means WEAPONS!
