Please note that when Charlotte fans are talking about are big wins, comparing your game against I don't know, Alabama, against ours against Presby, that we are generally speaking tongue in cheek.

While Niner fans are thrilled with our season so far (especially on defense). we also know that we do have depth and talent issues that will probably plague us the rest of the season.

While I don't think we will be quite the doormat that most of you expected, most of the Nation realize that we will be pretty big dogs the rest of the way.

Basically what I'm saying is: turn the sarcasm font on.

You guys had the perfect schedule to start your FBS era! No doubt it going to be a harder road from here on but getting those wins early help to get your fans excited on what things can be

RE: to the rest of CUSA
i have no idea about your second game but i was very impressed with your defense against ga. state.

not that they're a good team. but your defense swarmed to the ball. and looked very quick to me. i love speed on a sports team. i think it wins games in any sport.

now my eye might be wrong. maybe ga. state has very slow players and made your players appear fast.

but if i was building a team from scratch i'd try to put my best athletes on the defense first to give my team a chance in games.

i know who i'll be pulling for in your game against middle. lol.

If Marshall plays like they did against Ohio, you have more than a punchers chance...03-nutkick

Well, you didn't have to respond. 04-cheers

Anyway, us Niner fans are just excited as hell that we are now FBS. We pretty much all know we are going to get our a$$ kicked the rest of the way this season but we still hold out hope for an upset somewhere.

While most of this post I agree with, we actually DO have quality depth at atleast one position (Receiver). We have highly recruited transfers from Georgia and Kansas State who are currently about our 4th or 5th options.

We do have lots of good receivers, but if the lack of depth on the O-line can't keep BR-ATT upright, it doesn't matter

The depth issues I was thinking about are on both lines.

Regression to the mean anyone?

Seriously though the comments about seeing where you are now is the same thing I'm interested in seeing. I'm fascinated by programs that decide to start football and watching that process from scratch.

I actually think it might be easier to start from scratch, get into I-A quickly and then establish your brand from there. I feel like it's harder for schools like MT and wkcc who have been playing football for one hundred years because we got boxed into a label that's been difficult to emerge from.

Done the right way you guys can emerge as long term players at this level. I have no doubt. I see ODU and Charlotte as having started that process the right way. Ga State is on the other end of the spectrum. And I'm still not sure about FIU and FAU, because I'm not convinced the support was there, but they are in Florida and that's a huge benefit.

Who is the K-State transfer?

I know we have TL Ford that committed there, then backed out and ended up with us, but I didn't know we had an actual K-State transfer.

I agree. I'm very pleased that Charlotte went the ODU route instead of the Georgia State route (off campus, old "name" coach, getting hammered by Alabama first season).

It's also nice to not be defined or labeled.

The bad thing is that we have little to no in game fan tradition, other than cheering.
