Fire Joe Lombardi
One pass to Calvin Johnson?

Ever since Junior Joe arrived Staffird and this offense have been hamstrung. He has no idea how to use what he had until late in the game when Staffird throws the playbook and starts flinging it.

RE: Fire Joe Lombardi
Rivers playing pitch and catch on every play with Keenan Allen, but Lombardi can't figure out how to get it to Johnson or Tate, two of the best in the game.

Classic example of why nepotism rarely translates to success.

3rd and 19, lets toss it to Keenan Allen 03-lmfao

Only Joe Lombardi could make Calvin look average

Terrible, just terrible...

He's not even interested in getting it into the hands of the playmakers.

He sees Calvin as the greatest decoy in the game.

Brandon Pedegrew injured on the extra point. I sure am glad we signed him to 4 more years. When he's not injured he's dropping everything. You don't want to lose a player like that 03-weeping

Same ole!

After 40 years, I refuse to be Charlie Brown with Lucy holding the football again

Don't let them do it to you...

That guy is and has been worst coordinator in football. Does least with the most, and is beyond predictable. Defenses always seem to know what next play will be because even the fans know.

Loins scored 28 points.

That's usually enough to win NFL games.

Where's criticism of defense and DC Terryl Austin, couldn't hold a lead?

Not to mention GM Mayhew that let Suh get away.

I'm with you on this. I was thinking after the Lion collapse on Sunday, whose future head coaching aspirations took the bigger hit over the weekend: P.J.'s, or Teryl Austin's?

I'd say P.J., especially considering Austin's post-Suh sample size is only one game at this point, but if we get to find out just how good a DC Austin is without Suh, the early returns from Sunday were pretty ugly.

I will say one thing about the Lions' D on sunday. They were absolutely gassed. The offense couldn't stay on the field, so the D got left to hang in the 115 degree heat on the field, and just got exhausted late. That being said, i'm going to have nightmares about that underneath crossing route for years.

Keep in mind the defense scored 7 of that 28, and doesn't possess near the weapons that the offense does.

This is true, and the defense did get the end-zone interception before halftime as well. All of that said, as the second half dragged on and the defense absolutely had to get a stop and get off the field, they couldn't do it.

By no means am I giving Lombardi a pass. There is no excuse for essentially using Calvin as a decoy all day.

Give me an fing break. Teddy overrated Bridgewaters biggest pass of the game is a shovel pass as he's being sacked.
