Was thinking the same thing, first two opponents was Not a real test. If he does the same against NC State I'll agree

If Lawry goes over a hundred, it'll say just as much about our O line as him.

I don’t think I need to wait to get on board. Lawry is a true sophomore. As a true freshman, he did not start until the seventh game of the season, went over 100 yards five times, gained just under a thousand yards for the season, and was C-USA offensive freshman POY. He has rushed for over 200 yards in his last three games going back to FAU in the last game last year. He is the real deal, and I am confident he will go over 100 against NC State.

I agree. I'll be home in Norfolk and I will checking scores on my ESPN app, because we will be at the Oceana airshow! NC State has been playing very well, but they haven't had a real opponent yet. ODU will be their first real opponent this season. If RL leaves thread makes on their defense, I'll be amazed. I don't see that happening and I don't count the aggressive defense from lastnight on NSU either!

You do know the game is at 7:00pm.? Shouldn't interfere with air show.

What I saw when he entered that Marshall mismatch last year showed me how much game Ray Lawry has. He split that legit defense and tripped over his own feet after a shake move on the FS when nobody else could run on them.

They crushed us in that first battle but I bet their defensive personnel knows how explosive he is.

I love Ray's game just as much as everyone else, but lets not forget he wasn't the defensive focus last season. Also, thus far SB hasn't done much to take the attention off of him. Therefore, as much as I hate to say it, if he does go over 100 yards Saturday it will probably be because he broke a couple of long runs and not so much his general production.

IMO, Ray’s production this year is what it is because we have a stronger O line and they have been able to open up a crinkle or hole that has allowed him to break a few long runs, especially in the first two games. Now, the question is can the O line be as effective against NC State and will the attention he has gotten force a concentrated effort to focus on Ray. If NC State and others are able to accomplish that goal they will slow or stop the big play. If, Bentley can become more of a consistent passer with short passes to move the chains and our receivers catch his passes, it will elevate our game to a new level and I believe we will be more effective with our offense in general.

I don't think you have to wait till Saturday to say he's the real deal; he is. I agree he wasn't a focus last year, but teams this year have no choice but try and stop him with a freshman QB.
