Rice @ North Texas: The Mean Green isn't so mean. Both Owls win this week.
LaTech @ Kansas State: I kind of agonized over this one. Tech can win, but I don't think they will with somewhat of a letdown after the Western Kentucky game.
Norfolk State @ Marshall: I think Marshall is mad. NSU just doesn't have the depth to hang in there.
UTSA @ Oklahoma State: Not going to be close.
Western Kentucky @ Indiana: Doughty has an awesome day.
North Carolina Central @ FIU: Panthers in a runaway.
Charlotte @ Middle Tennessee: Welcome to C-USA.
Southern Miss @ Texas State: This is my upset special. The Golden Eagles go in expecting to win -- but go home with a loss.
North Carolina State @ ODU: Lord knows I want to pick ODU, and they could win this at home for the biggest win in ODU's short football history -- but State's passing game is too much for ODU's secondary.
UTEP @ New Mexico State: UTEP's spiral downward steepens.

USM beating TXST in Sna Marcos would be an upset not the other way around.

Correct, if USM can beat TXstate in San Marcos, that would be a solid win for USM.

Buffalo @ FAU-----------FAU Need this win over the Mac just like we need to win every other G5 game.
Rice @ North Texas--------Rice
LaTech @ Kansas State--------La Tech - Need to add another notch on our P5 belt. Hopefully ya'll can pull this out because I'm not counting on us.
Norfolk State @ Marshall-------Marshall
UTSA @ Oklahoma State---------Okie State
Western Kentucky @ Indiana-------WKU - Notch number 4 on the P5 belt. FIU hung through most of their game and the WKU offense has more firepower.
North Carolina Central @ FIU--------FIU
Charlotte @ Middle Tennessee --------MTSU - I think Charlotte is in for a long game.
Southern Miss @ Texas State--------So. Miss. Need this win over the Sunbelt just like we need to win every other G5 game.
North Carolina State @ ODU--------NC State - I could be a homer and pick us but I don't think it will happen. Crowd should be awesome with the first visit from a P5.
UTEP @ New Mexico State--------UTEP - You better not lose to the team that just gave GSU their first FBS win.

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 3
Wow its going to be tough to beat out last week's perfection for sure but will take a stab:

Buffalo @ FAU-toss up for me really, but Buffalo really played Penn St. well and I have some questions with FAU and injuries
Rice @ North Texas-this seems will be closer than a lot of people think, but Rice eeks out a win on the road
LaTech @ Kansas State-K-St. not great this season but being being at home they have enough to win by 10
Norfolk State @ Marshall-Birdsong is benched, Marshall wins by 40
UTSA @ Oklahoma State-Man UTSA, you need to tell your AD to chill out a little with the schedule, haha
Western Kentucky @ Indiana-We have laid several eggs before at Big Ten schools, but this team this season just feels different to me, if we win the turnover battle we win the game by 10
North Carolina Central @ FIU-hope Mcgough is ok, but if not, this is the week to rest him
Charlotte @ Middle Tennessee -MTSU will not have much trouble at home
Southern Miss @ Texas State-this may be best game of the week, Southern Miss by 1
North Carolina State @ ODU-I don't think NC. St. is all that, but they enough to get it done this week, good get for a home game ODU in a small stadium...Wish Kentucky schools would play WKU at home
UTEP @ New Mexico State -Has UTEP defense reverted back to a few seasons ago? Surprising but seems like UTEP may have taken a step back from surprising season a year ago..NMSU is not good but will be after blood after losing and handing Georgia St. first FBS victory ever...

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 3
Buffalo @ FAU; 12:00 p.m. ET; FAU wins
Rice @ North Texas: 2:30 p.m. ET; Rice with the victory
LaTech @ Kansas State; 3:00 p.m. ET; Will be cheering on LaTech, but think Kansas State wins
Norfolk State @ Marshall: 3:30 p.m. ET; Marshall wins...if not then Birdsong might not make it to class on Monday (joking of course)
UTSA @ Oklahoma State: 3:30 p.m. ET; OK State wins
Western Kentucky @ Indiana; 4:00 p.m. ET; I think this will be a great game. Indiana is a bit better than they have been in the past, and WKU has a few questions, mainly with the injury at RB. However, I think their social security eligible quarterback will show his experience and win the game with his arm. WKU with the win.
North Carolina Central @ FIU; 6:00 p.m. ET; FIU wins
Charlotte @ Middle Tennessee: 7:00 p.m. ET; Middle Tennessee wins
Southern Miss @ Texas State: 7:00 p.m. ET; Southern Miss wins
North Carolina State @ ODU; 7:00 p.m. ET; Love to see ODU with the upset, but I think NC State pulls it out
UTEP @ New Mexico State: 8:00 p.m. ET; UTEP wins this one for the good guys.

Try not to bite my head off too much for being a Sun Belt Fan (Texas State), but why do you guys think USM wins this weekend in San Marcos? I haven't had a chance to check out their team yet and was wondering how much of an improvement Monken had made to the depth chart and play calling since 2013. 04-cheers

No head bitting here. I respect the Bobcats and what they are building but I think the Eagles have found something this year and are about to get on a roll. After the way they played against Miss State opening weekend I was able to see the play makers that USM had and the talent gap between USM and Miss State was marginal at best. I think the days of USM being the whipping child are almost over. Texas St might come out on top this weekend and I'll be tuned for sure but I just have that feeling for USM

Completely fair analysis. Although my bias tends to lean the other direction...lol COGS. Whichever way it goes, I'm looking forward to a very close, very hard fought game from both teams. And may the best team win. 04-cheers

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 3
Texas State has a good O but not sure about the D. If TS can pick Mullens a few times, I think TS wins. Mullens has been a turnover machine at USM since 2013 as he has played behind a terrible OL the last 2 years. His line is better and he is more mature. USM also has upgraded it O and D with a bunch of JC players and transfers. They now have D1 talent and will be much improved. I am not sure they know how to win yet so if TS can get up on them early they may quit like the last 3 years.

Looking forward to this game to see how far USM has come. A win for USM and they will be a contender in the West, a loss and they could fold like a cheap suit for the rest of the season like current history has shown. I want USM to be good but they don't seem mentally tough enough the last 3 years.
