BTW, USA Today, we are a 4.5 point underdog.

Sounds right. On paper BSU should be favored.

We might be favored against Army.

We were 33 points over the spread last week, so should we expect a 29 point W?

Per Creighton, Reggie's jaw is indeed broken. He will miss "several weeks," but won't need surgery.

Also, from EMU athletics, beer from Arbor Brewing Company will be sold throughout the game..... Of course alcohol finally beings to be served the season I move 300 miles away. I made the trip for ODU, they couldn't have started selling beer then?

The normal healing period for a jaw break is 4-6 weeks and at that point the wires are removed and the jaw is examined for bone stability. My understanding is Reggie's jaw is broken in more than one place and if he does come back this season I will be very surprised to see him in a game before the WMU game. This is an example of why wearing your mouthpiece is so important.

Good luck guys! Should give a real indication where the program's at.
A win would be a huge, but doable.

A fantastic chance to move the program 1 step further in the right direction. This is the game that should legitimize the work of Creighton and his staff for the last 2 years.

No turnovers, good special teams, 150+ yards rushing, ANY improvement in rushing defense, and we win this game. Media, fans, alum, students, AND PLAYERS all slowly start to come out of the battered wife fog.

Anything less and it's right back to the 'here we go again' chatter.

Need a great week of practice. Let's go boys! 04-rock

So basically this will be wasted year in Reggie's development since he probably won't get a medical redshirt.

TO be honest if Roback keeps playing like he did last week(maybe not at that level of efficiency, but somewhere near it) Bell won’t be taking snaps at QB anymore.

Which jaw, lower or upper, is broken?

Aren't most fractures lower jaw? How does a mouth guard protect the lower jaw?

A clenched jaw with a mouthpiece in is the best protection from dental and or jaw damage. They taught us that ever since Bantam league football. Try Google to get your explanation but it's pretty common knowledge. If Reggie had his mouthpiece in the damage could have been avoided or been substantially less. When he came out earlier in the game he was bleeding from the mouth from not wearing it earlier. Whether it was from nerves or just being hyped up and forgetting to put it in, ultimately it is what took him out of the game.

Looks like Daugherty gets his first start at WR. I did like the Browning/Tuttle combo on the field at the same time.

Need a couple more 6'1"-6'2" Daugherty's to pair with Robacks arm. That kid is going to make a lot of big plays for the next 4 years. Hopefully we can pull them from our Florida recruiting.

Snelling might be one of those guys if his knee heals fully. 6'1", 170, 4.47 speed

Update on Ball State:

"Next week, Milas and the Cards will go up against a weak EMU defense, and if he is unable to get things going versus the Eagles, then it's time to worry."
