Yup, 2-5 P5, 2-1 Go5, 3-0 FCS ... translates into 2 P5 scalps, a winning day against Go5 OOC, and no embarrassing losses in the FCS buy games.

Freshman runner, kicker, and quarterback led Ball State to excellent second half at #16 Texas A&M tonight, 20-7. ESPNU crew couldn't say enough good things about 6'5" QB Riley Neal who played entire second half. Final score was 56-23 after a 49-3 first half debacle.

Interesting thing is Ohio and Toledo score victories against two teams that absolutely destroyed us last season.

I'm going to have to drink a lot to watch us against Ohio State. Ohio State is only giving up 12 ppg thus far and our defense struggles against a bad UNLV and 1-AA teams at home.

big games next week are the bg-memphis tilt, ut-iowa st, cmu-syracuse

memphis is coming off a 10 win season and bowl win over byu, in undefeated and could be competition for the G5 new years bowl pick. they got a big time offense and that should be one of the weeks more competitive and entertaining games anywhere

toledo has a big home game against a big 12 team that beat us in a tight one last yr. it's on sorta national tv- espn news -if we win we'll probably be in the ap top 25.

cmu could sneak up on syracuse if they can put up enough points. their d looks legit.

i think we win all the fcs games easily, lose the obvious ones at minnesota and osu as well as the home games w solid AAC teams (cincy and temple vs bottom of the mac umass and miami). buffalo at fau would be a good win, tough to tell where this buffalo team is headed. they look good at times but not sure if their offense can really put it together.
