WKU Fans / L.T. Smith Stadium
I am planning on making the trip to Bowling Green on Black Friday. What sections are behind the Marshall bench? I try to get the best seats that I can instead of sitting in the designated visitor sections and depending on the video board to see most of the game. How many rows up do I need to be to be able to see the field? Thanks for your help in advance!

Here is the current chart
[Image: 2014-football-seat-map.jpg]

East side is the visitor sideline.

Tickets sold via the visiting school will be in sections 135,136, 335. Visiting team enters the field right by 136

Not directly behind (129-132) thanks to C-USA rules.

It is small(and low res) and needs to be upgraded. But we are only 8 years removed from being I-AA in a one sided stadium with no video at all.

I bought a pair of tickets in Section 130, Row P. Thanks for the help. I had been trying to figure it out on my own, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to turn to the experts. I stopped by your campus on my way home from Huntington last season and thought it was extremely nice.

Glad you're making the trip, rawright1987. Hopefully the weather is good. Crowd will be light being Friday after Thanksgiving.

Funny you mention that. I mentioned to one of my friends at the game on Thursday that I thought it was awesome when we first got it, but now I hate it because it is so small looking now. Guess I've been spoiled living in Nashville and seeing what the TN Titans have at Nissan Stadium. A larger HD video board is towards the top of my "wish list" for the Houch.

Other items include 1) LED video ribbon on the new side to show stats and to sell advertising 2) nets behind the goal posts (no idea why we haven't done this already) 3) do something more permanent on the "open side" of the stadium. Maybe more seating for the band along with a smaller scoreboard to show stats and have a place for a TV camera. 4) add the upper deck to the new side to expand the seating capacity into the 40K's, but not until we need it which, unfortunately, may be a while. 5) updated press box

I believe Press Box is high on the list. Ribbon boards were on the original renovation plan but were cut because of budget.

We have seats in 130 depending on the seat number you'll be right on the 50 or very close . Your row should be the first one under the overhang or the last one outside of it.

The seat number at the 50 is 18/19/20 depending on the row and I believe P starts at 20 and goes down left to right. I have seats directly on the 50 in section 130...three rows behind you. Your row is the 4th from the top which gives you a clear view of the video board (I have to bend down because of the overhang) and a decent line to see plays develop. I chose this row because this side of the stadium gets the afternoon sun and the overhang helps keep the sun from blinding you...you get the video board but also the sun. Lucky for you it shouldn't be too bad with a 11am start.

You are 10 seconds from a restroom, 15 away from beer, and 3 or 4 different food concessions. My son could tell you what each sells...I don't have a clue. The bad part about where you sit if anyone in the upper section above you spills anything.....you are likely to feel it.

I honestly never seen this happen but other than the Army game not many visiting fans sit in this section but...

if your row is out from the overhang you are also at the mercy of what could be pissed off home fans sitting above you. Other than that you have really good seats and high enough to see the whole field and not a flat look.

I will see if I can find a video from this section

(edit)
here's the view from my seats with my son saying...GO GO GO from our game vs BG last year

1) original plans had this but had to be cut out for budgetary reasons
2) never understood this either
3) original plans had columns and all sorts of cool stuff in the open end zone on Big Red Way (it's still BRW to me). Again, budgetary concerns and cost overruns killed this.
4) new side was built to be added to. Need to fill the stadium up first!
5) see 1 and 3

All great points and I hope we get to where we make these changes.

#2- I guess Allstate doesn't want us safe in their good hands.
#3- Like LifetimeTopper said, the original plan was a replica of the Colonnade from the old stadium to be built on the Avenue of Champions end zone. Would still love to see that.

Good seats, although you will be smack dab in the middle of WKU fans. I think WKUYG has written that he sits close too. Maybe yall can exchange recipes.
