Toledo upset Arkansas, but maybe voters are hesitant to put a team in their top 25 that was dominated in every statistic other than turnovers. It was a good win for Toledo, but let's not act like Toledo is a top 25 team now.
If Northwestern is a top 25 team, then Toledo is too , no question about that.

RE: College Football Week 2
Quote:Stats mean nothing if you can't put points on the board.
Stats do mean something about how good a team is, but another stat is getting into the red zone tons and not being able to put the points on the board -- true, you can't count that stat out either.
Quote:Turnovers and GOOD defense from Toledo kept them in the game.
The red-zone defense was real great, yes. Overall D as a whole, still gave up 500+ yards. Overall O -- decent. Very good about the team when you consider having to play #3 RB and waiting for Hunt to come back. Again, means nothing for the scoreboard, but does mean something for the team if one's going to forward judge/predict them. It was a combination of that + Arkansas shooting themselves in the foot, too (500+ yards and only 10 points scored on O? lol).
If Toledo got 500+ yards, more TOP and held Ark to much less TOP and cranking out a little over 300 yards -- IMO, Toledo would have a big case for more Top 25 votes. I'm not being cynical at All -- I loved that tight game and rooted for Toledo hard... just being realistic, is all. They WERE the better team that game, yes.
