Charlotte schedules 2 games against Indiana
In addition to yesterday's news of a home and home with the heels, a new series was announced today.

2 games against indiana, in 22 and 23. Both away, but should yield over $2 million in guarantee money.

Supposedly we still have another solid home and home being announced soon too.

Our AD is doing a nice job with scheduling lately.

How is anyone excited to go to Indiana twice with no return game? I get that scheduling bottom feeder p5s is a goal but why, no return game is weak in my opinion, and going to Ohio State is just plain suicide. Good Luck with that. Maybe if Urban is gone they will have backslid some. Congrats on the unc series though.

I agree actually. I think this is the worst "big-name" schedule addition we have had so far. I am fine with going to any Big 10 school once (if that is all we can get) or certainly a 2:1, but 2:0.......not so much. I hope the checks are BIG!!!!

I like our scheduling so far, especially the lack of bodybag games. I know some fans would like to see a huge name, but I don't think that is the right way to go to build a program.

Yea wish you guys could have gotten a home game vs. IU, we did back in 2011....I liked how we scheduled winnable games vs. P5 when we first started out in FBS and continue to do....

I don't htink we can throw stones on the scheduling front. Ours weill get better starting next year but we haven't set the world on fire with our OOC games lately.

Winnable games, even if they are on the road.

RE: Charlotte schedules 2 games against Indiana
I think our scheduling has been great, H&Hs with Duke and Chapel Hill, and the two guarantee games we've taken are against Indiana with payouts of over 1 mill (reportedly). That's a nice chunk of change for winnable games. There also is talk of another "Big Name" H&H that has been agreed upon but not announced. This has been a great week to be a Niner. We notched our first FBS win, get to see the debut of the band with some additions to the pre-game experience tomorrow, and have some attractive non-conference games getting lined up.

I just hope the good news continues on the field tomorrow 04-cheers

RE: Charlotte schedules 2 games against Indiana
Let's say Indiana is paying us $1.2 million for each game, and we go up there and spank them in the first one. Not wanting to make it 0-2 in front of the home fans they decide to cancel the second game and replace us with a Sun Belt team for a sure win. Do they owe us the $1.2 million plus something for cancelling the game, or just the $1.2 million? We might have to pay somebody to fill in our schedule. I ask, because I can see this non home/home turning into a big win either way if we take that first game.

There will be some kind of a buyout, but it will not be the full $1 million +.
