I tend to agree that this was the lowball opening offer. I'm going to be surprised if facilities are mentioned in any way shape or form. The BOT will say to us "that's what you have Hatton and his group for." Then they'll deny the facilities as Clark wants them and (at best) give us a generic football building that can be converted to something else.

Will Clark call their bluff? He's a strong guy, but they keep taunting him hoping he'll break. For Gene's sake he doesn't even have an admin!

Not only did it have legs it was up and running. I know for a fact that was what was offered. If it was not for JC, HS, and several other heavy hitters not bowing up to Finis St John Clark would not have signed that contract today.

Because he was offered that genius. He turned it down.

I guess that would depend on who you talked to and what their access to information was.

I can verify this. I recently gained a source, and this is exactly what he said. One year extension and a $20k raise was the initial offer, a while back ago too. Way before it was leaked.

It was probably the lowball first offer, knowing it would be rejected. It was a negotiation. Fans aren't supposed to know the nuts and bolts of a negotiation.
