Are they calling this from the damn studio? The play-by-play is horrible

Yeah they are that's the studio crew. The guy doing play-by-play sounds so uninterested and uncomfortable. Bad idea

Bad idea, but cheaper. These stations have to figure out how to pay these TV contracts. Every penny counts now.

ESPNU has done it some, too. I hate it.

I have never really understood the point of "announcers" for TV in the first place (I don't need them to describe to me what I'm already seeing).

Disney will have ESPN doing this more and more as they figure out how much money they can save the Empire.

It is bush league, it's the only college game going with more viewers tonight. Sounds like crap, They got the freakin sideline reporter, they couldnt spring for the two commentators

NBC did air an announcerless game more than 30 years ago. It didn't work.

I absolutely love hearing play by play particularly when it's done right.

Pathetic not to have live announcers....the first thing the sideline reporter said was that he had to fly all the way out from LA....while the rest of crew laughed it up in LA

C-USA office (along with fans) should complain-LOUDLY!!!

Didn't like that at all. Way too many mistakes, called players by the wrong name, clips of useless pregame footage, etc. Made CUSA look like a bush league conference.

Yes like I said another thread pathetic...WKU was only on 1 FS1 game last season, they had a live crew.... did they do this as well last year? So I take it if they cannot fly out a game crew for quit possibly a preview of the CUSA championship game, what does that say for the next contract? Unreal!

Does FAU have a live crew in Miami for tonight? Yes of course they do because the Hurricanes are in town....

Same crew, in studio, for the Miami/FAU game. I don't like Wannstedt at all...just talks to hear himself talk. HAte the way they break for commercials at EVERY opportunity, mssing some of the action. I understand cutting costs, but Fox Sports 1 is showing a lack of competitiveness here, and it hurts their image.
