"So those who think pastner is a lousy coach who is bringing the program down, are bad fans or actually fans of another school?"

Doesn't matter. Either way they're wasting their time. Pastner will fail or succeed on his own merits. Money talks and bull walks. Money says he ain't going nowhere.

Well I can waste my time & resources doing many things other than watching Josh flame out again. His proposed “Positionless” scheme is more of the same with a new name. Sounds like plain old street ball to me, lol.

You say he ain’t going nowhere which is now fine with me. Fans like you deserve him.

"size-down" and "position-less" basketball are some of the worst coach speak terms I've ever heard.

I don't mind position-less, but I don't even know what 'size-down' means...

If the University decided to keep Pastner, I believe they would lose at least 25% of their fan base entirely… until he is dismissed. As sad and crazy as it would feel, I would walk away from Tiger basketball… and Ive followed every game religiously since my father first brought me to games at MSC in 1981. I know there are a lot of posters on here far older that would likely feel the same.
So, if they can handle losing an ADDITIONAL 25-50% (25 being the minimum) to what they have already lost in support, then that is a calculated risk they will have to take. I don't think they are that stupid

"Davis told The Commercial Appeal this week that Memphis remains his top choice, even after his official visit to Texas A&M last weekend. He still plans to visit Alabama this weekend and LSU on Oct. 3.

"I'm still very interested in Memphis and they still are my top choice," Davis said."

Just in case you missed it. This was in the CA yesterday

Anybody competing against us for a recruit is going to remind them of that… they have no idea what coach they would be playing for in a year or two.

The major problem with recruiting is a small sect of so called fans who openly bash the team and coach in an attempt to push their agenda.

Yep, and what is that agenda? Fans want to see their program do all they can to get to the top… to excel. ANYBODY that is in full support of Pastner being the head coach of Memphis is either among the most DELUSIONAL of humanity, or they do not want to see our team truly excel.

It would be like a dad that built a great business, and wants to turn over his company to his son who happens to be terrible at managing a business. Its understandable to want to give it to his son who he loves, but if he does, he can't say that he cares about the longevity or continued success of the business… and in truth that his own delusions about his kid cloud his judgement.

Whats baffling is Pastner isn't even a Memphis guy, and he has run off Memphis guys (Nichols AND King just recently). Further, as you all bash Cal, you sweep under the rug that Pastner was trying to steal our players and recruits too before being offered the job. So what does that make some of you? Real fans?? Of what or of whom?

Fans of Memphis who are not delusional want Pastner gone. Period. End of story

Survey after survey has shown they are a very small but vocal minority.,

I'd like to see one of these survey's.

I have had BB tickets for may years and sit upstairs. Attendance is so bad, at least 5000 less than announced every game, we can go sit in the club section at half time and the ushers don't even say a word.

If you don't attend the games and talk to the numerous fans around town and at work you have no idea what you are talking about.

Does this mean we have poor fans and if someone is patient they can pick-up good seats now? If the coach doesn't get the job done, he will be gone anyway, regardless whether you're at the game or not. Same goes, if he turns things around. The real losers will be those who gave up their seats.

How so? We'll just buy them back again when we are worth the money to spend.

In the meantime, football gets more of my money.

It's the way Sears and Kmart think, ignore the trends, go out of business.

Can't even beat out Alabama for Juco's.

Add that to the list of losing out on transfers to CUSA schools.

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP
