Plan A is very clearly to expand with Texas (and friends).

Without Texas, I think expand or bust becomes a 50/50 proposition. I actually think the PAC powers would make more money by going bust and contracting to feed fewer mouths (scary prospect) than by expanding with any of the available G5 schools. I see where you're going, but I think If Utah and BYU were to ever be in the same conference, it would be something other than the PAC or a maybe a weakened PAC sans USC/UCLA/Cal.
