UC may have dropped in the rankings but they just got a dedicated article with pictures in the New York Times Magazine.

I'd prefer a higher USNWR rating to that Times article, which isn't exactly flattering.

I do to but if President Ono is including transfer and graduate applications in his statements that could explain the difference as well.

Ono just twittered (again) about the dramatic increase in applications (up something like 19%, I think) and campus visits (up 33%!). Been seeing these kind of twitters for the past several years.

Campus visits are typically incoming freshman, presumably interested in the main campus. I guess when information is presented in that manner, it should be safe to assume that those campus visits are translating into increased applications to the main campus.
