Early weekend Austin weather forecast
Weather.com shows 30% chance of rain. Supposed to be really bad rain in Houston this weekend. Who benefits the most from a wet field and conditions?

This forecast looks much more benign... I think any weather will be of the thunderstorm variety, and not of the driving rain variety, so we aren't likely to be playing in the elements.

Well we fared pretty well in 1994 when it was rather wet.

I saw there is potentially a tropical system which may emerge in the Gulf a week from now, but that doesn't necessarily equate to rain on Saturday night.

03-weeping As long as the game is not CANCELLED due to LIGHTNING like the LSU game was last weekend. An hour delay is bad enough [03-zzz too much additional tailgate time leads to 03-drunk ; fell asleep at half-time...] 04-cheers

If it is wet, whose running game is likely to be better? Does it come down to the performance of our line vs theirs? Is their running game more of a power rush as opposed to our option sweeps?

Any little rain that comes is forecast to be over by Saturday morning. Weatherman just said, "if you have a ticket to the UT-Rice game Saturday, then good for you - it's going to be gorgeous."
