I mean, they ripped off Tiger Lane. http://www.gamecocksonline.com/facilitie...-park.html

(As a new USC student and resident of Columbia, SC, I just see some parallels that I think would work for the Liberty Bowl as well.)

I kinda wish we could have done that kind of grass parking instead. It might be a bit cooler on those season openers. I guess our climate is a touch different than theirs...

Then when it rains we would have the same people complain how muddy it is to park.

Doesn't get muddy. They did this for the new Purple lots (old Liberty Land)

"In some of those areas, particularly the 25-acre Libertyland site and another portion just east of Libertyland, grass will be planted to enhance the esthetics and game-day experience for fans. A protection mesh, or "grassphalt," will be laid to protect the grass."

I look sideways at any guy who goes to a stadium in flip flops. going to the restroom becomes a whole different experience.

Once we find out who the mayor is going to be next year then I think they will be asked about the Fairgrounds and we'll have an idea of what might happen and when. Whoever the mayor is will need to replace Lipscomb.

As stated above, the ULI report did recommend an addition to Tiger Lane, but that doesn't make it a reality yet.

New major says Fairgrounds is not one his top priorities. He has bigger fish to fry.

I was just about to post this - they'll scrap all the ideas that Lipscomb tried to push through & start all over with this eventually....I'm glad, because that gives time for FB to get a few more years under their belt with good leadership and time for the community to really see what they want that space used for.

Should the university look at expanding before the 2016 football season?

I don't know about no "Tiger Lane", but you may want to expand Pastner Lane....and help that dope exit stage left on the expressway as expeditiously as possible. 02-13-banana

You have enough to worry about with Tubby. We'll take care of ours, you take care of yours.COGS
