If Penn State, Colorado, and Wyoming are as bad as their first games suggest, we have a shot at winning those. But I get the feeling that being at home and having a week to settle down will make it tough for the MAC to leave with a win, although I do think UMass will beat CU. Prove me wrong UB and EMU.

RE: Week 2 Pick'em
Who will be the last unbeaten team in the MAC? Here's a list of the remaining unbeaten teams heading into wk2-

NIU (vs Murray State)
Ohio (vs Marshall)
UMass (@Colorado)
Toledo (@Arkansas)
Buffalo (@Penn State)
Ball St (@Texas A&M)
Miami (@Wisconsin)

I would give NIU a 95% chance of staying undefeated, Ohio 50%, and everyone else a hope and a prayer. Overall this is going to be a tough week for the MAC.

It will be Ohio only because they play later(2:30 vs 7:00) than NIU. Both lose. 05-stirthepot

Umass and UB have decent shots. Penn state looked horrible and Colorado lost to Hawaii week one.

The problem is PSU will come in angry. Not sure Buffalo can overcome that.

If Kent St. loses to a MEAC team, they should just fold and forfeit the rest of their games...

RE: Week 2 Pick'em
SAT. 9/12

BGSU 34 @ Maryland 38 BUGS has a chance in this one, but 2nd in a row on the road could be tough.

Buffalo 20 @ Penn St 37 Christian Hackenburg almost lives up to the hype this week, and an angry Penn State team gets the win.

Miami 14 @ #20 Wisconsin 45 Angry Badgers roll.

UMass 34 @ Colorado 31 - Call me nuts, but I think UMASS avenges last season's close loss.

Monmouth 10 @ CMU 43 - I saw enough in our first game -- and about half of Monmouth's loss to Holy Cross -- to think we'll win this one going away.

Murray St. 13 @ NIU 48 - NIU can pretty much name its score.

EMU 27 @ Wyoming 28 - EMU could certainly win this one -- Wyoming just lost to FCS North Dakota -- but on the road, and with Bell's status unknown, I have to pick Craig Bohl's team.

Toledo 28 @ #18 Arkansas 45 - Toledo has enough firepower to potentially make this one interesting, but not for four quarters.

Pitt 17@ Akron 25 - Akron struggled on the road against a Top 25 team. Pitt struggled at home against an FCS team. Giving this one to Akron at home.

Del. St. 10 @ Kent St. 18 - Kent has issues on offense. D State got blown out by Liberty. Take the Flashes in a game that may be closer than expected.

WMU 41@ Ga. So. 24 - a depleted Georgia Southern squad (#1 QB suspended and 4/5 new starters on the OL) looked pretty shaky in week one. WMU at least tested MSU. Before the season, I thought you could flip a coin on this one. Not any more.

Ball St. 19 @ Texas A&M 49 - A&M seemed very strong in a win against #15 Arizona State. Ball State's defense gave up a lot more than expected to VMI. I have a suspicion this one gets out of hand.

Marshall 31 @ Ohio 35- Marshall needed a pair of pick sixes to beat a Purdue team that probably won't get to five wins this season, and that was at home. Ohio was more than respectable in a blowout win over Idaho. Always tough to call a rivalry-type game, but Marshall still has some firepower. Does Ohio have enough to keep up? I will give this one to the Bobcats at home.

RE: Week 2 Pick'em
BGSU @ Maryland
* 41-38; BGSU pulls an upset

Buffalo @ Penn St
* 20-28; Penn State adds a TD late to seal victory; fans still not happy with PSU

Miami @ #20 Wisconsin
* 9 - 48; Miami scores an early FG, but Wisconsin beats the p!ss out of them; Miami scores a FG late against Wisc subs

UMass @ Colorado
* 27 - 31; Colorado comes back to win it in their home opener to make up for their loss last week

Monmouth @ CMU
* 10 - 38; CMU lets loose to get some confidence going into the rest of the season.

Murray St. @ NIU
* 13 - 48; NIU runs up the score as much as they can, but pesky Murray keeps them from hitting 50 pts.

EMU @ Wyoming
* 20 - 27; EMU loses yet another close game. Shows promise for the Emoos.

Toledo @ #18 Arkansas
* 20 - 38; Toledo's D keeps Arkansas in check some, but Toledo is held far more strongly by Arkansas' D

Pitt @ Akron
* 34 - 17; Akron doesn't have the offense to avoid Pitt's Revenge from last year

Del. St. @ Kent St.
* 10 - 21; Kent State gets a win under their belt.

WMU @ Ga. So.
* 28 - 24; WMU holds on to win it; not able to stop the run awesomely but doesn't let it get away

Ball St. @ Texas A&M
* 21 - 42; BSU surprisingly shows some punch

Marshall @ Ohio
* 38 - 41; They trade blows, but Ohio's Vick + Marshall turnovers save the day for the MAC East

Great. This means something along the lines of:

Murray goes up early 14-0, NIU ties the game going into the half. First "Fire Carey" posts appear on the message board. Huskies score two quick TD to go up 28-14 before letting the Racers pull within 3 pts in the middle of 4th. NIU scores late and has an interception at the 5 yard line to seal the win 35-25. 13,500 in attendance, 9 posts during the game about how the Pepsi was warm and the nacho cheese was cold.

RE: Week 2 Pick'em
BGSU over Maryland
(I feel that BGSU has a pretty good shot)

Penn St over Buffalo
(Penn St looked atrocious in the Temple win. A stronger MAC team could do it, like Ohio couple years ago)

Wisconsin over Miami

Colorado over UMass
(If this wasn't UMass's first game of the season, I'd pick them. If the MAC is to beat the P5 this week, this is the game it happens)

CMU over Monmouth
NIU over Murray St

Wyoming over EMU
(Picked EMU over ODU, not again)

Arkansas over Toledo

Pitt over Akron
(not like last year :/ )

Kent St over Delaware St
WMU over GA Southern
Texas A&M over Ball St
Marshall over Ohio
