So the attendance number didn't include students or people who paid at the gate

Last year we were coming off a 3-9 season. Build it, and they will come.

I don't disagree. But for years so many of those "prepaid" student tickets went unused that I guess you can't blame them.

Student crowd was the best I could remember outside of SEC or homecoming game

It's been far too long since I've entered a game as a student. Back in my day, all you had to do was show your student ID and they gladly allowed you in. Pretty sure no one counted us back then either.

They used to be counted in the season ticket numbers for that very reason.

Did RC Johnson also count those "pre-paid" student tickets in those impressive season ticket numbers the school always reported?

Same here. Once I graduated, I had a friend that was still in school. I had him go to the office and report a lost ID. They processed it and handed him a slip of paper to take to the next room (or something) to have his photo made. He handed it to me, I had the picture made and I had a new photo ID with his name on it. :) Wasn't the worst of things I did back in the day.
