Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 2
What a great first week, C-USA! I think we're all busting with pride right now...let's keep it going. We've got a BIG in-Conference match-up this week with possible divisional implications on both sides. All 13 teams are in action this week.

Odds posted are from: http://www.oddsshark.com/ncaaf/odds and were accurate as of this writing. They will not be updated. Pick straight up.

Thursday, September 10
LaTech @ Western Kentucky (-2): 8:00 p.m. ET; FoxS1

Friday, September 11
Miami (-17.5) @ FAU; 8:00 p.m. ET; FoxS1

[u]Saturday, September 11[u]
Kansas State (-20) @ UTSA; 12:00 p.m. ET; FoxS1
Presbyterian @ Charlotte; 12:00 p.m. ET; ESPN3; No Line
UTEP @ Texas Tech (-19.5); 3:00 p.m. ET; FOX
Austin Peay @ Southern Miss; 3:30 p.m. ET; American SN; No Line
Middle Tennessee @ Alabama (-34.5); 4:00 p.m. ET; SEC Network; Watch ESPN
Marshall @ Ohio (Pick-em...no line); 7:00 p.m. ET; ESPN3
Norfolk State @ ODU; 7:00 p.m. ET; American SN; NO line
North Texas @ SMU (-3); 7:00 p.m. ET; ESPN3
Rice @ Texas (-15.5); 8:00 p.m. ET; Longhorn Network; Watch ESPN
FIU @ Indiana (-7.5); 8:00 p.m. ET: Big Ten Network

Best of luck to all of our teams

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 2
I sure hope I can do a heck of lot better than I did last week. I need to have more faith in C-USA teams, it seems. Nevertheless, here are my picks for this week:

LaTech @ Western Kentucky: Wish the Tops had a better first outing.
Miami @ FAU - Second hurricane a row will blow out the Owls
Kansas State @ UTSA - my upset special based on how well the played AZ
Presbyterian @ Charlotte - should be an easy one
UTEP @ Texas Tech - I want to pick the Miners, and if were in EP, I would
Austin Peay @ Southern Miss;- USM continues to fine tune and build on last week.
Middle Tennessee @ Alabama; best hope for Blue Raiders is to keep it close
Marshall @ Ohio: Always scary at Ohio, but think we can ride this week into next
Norfolk State @ ODU - Expect to win big, Monarchs
North Texas @ SMU Mustangs looked very improved in the first half last week. North Texas a question mark.
Rice @ Texas Yeah, I'm tempted, as Texas only scored 3 last week, but ND looked invincible.
FIU @ Indiana: Yes, I drank the kool-aid. I think FIU can take this.

Thursday, September 10
LaTech @ Western Kentucky (-2): LaTech

Friday, September 11
Miami (-17.5) @ FAU; Miami

Saturday, September 11
Kansas State (-20) @ UTSA; KState
Presbyterian @ Charlotte; 49ers
UTEP @ Texas Tech (-19.5); Red beats Orange-El Paso
Austin Peay @ Southern Miss; USM
Middle Tennessee @ Alabama (-34.5); Bama, but they won't cover
Marshall @ Ohio (Pick-em...no line); Marshall
Norfolk State @ ODU; ODU
North Texas @ SMU (-3); SMUwho?
Rice @ Texas (-15.5); I think Rice easily beats the spread.. as to the game, I'll say a nailbiting 1-point victory for the Blue & Gray over Orange-Austin - which will make me very mad that I'm out of the country this weekend and can't watch.
FIU @ Indiana (-7.5); Hoosiers

Vegas has now posted Herd as 6 point favorite against Ohio. I thought it'd open about 10.

You might be right, there weren't enough entries on the site I use (only two that hovered around -6) out of about 15, so there was no consensus as of last night.

It's going to be a tough game, I don't care what the line is.

Miami @ FAU - FAU FAU makes The U The Birch.

Saturday, September 11
Kansas State @ UTSA - UTSA - UTSA decides to win this once since they lost to Arizona.

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 2
Thursday, September 10
LaTech @ Western Kentucky - Both good teams but WKU played a better opponent in week1 and has the home field advantage

Friday, September 11
Miami @ FAU - FAU couldn't put Tulsa away. Miami isn't Tulsa

Saturday, September 11
Kansas State @ UTSA - Too much talent at K State... too young at UTSA
Presbyterian @ Charlotte Charlotte - Georgia State>Presbyterian?
UTEP @ Texas Tech -Texas Tech has no D. UTEP will run the ball and control the clock
Austin Peay @ Southern Miss - USM in a blow out.
Middle Tennessee @ Alabama - This will get ugly. Bama dominated a very good Wisconsin team in week1
Marshall @ Ohio - Marshall is rolling right now
Norfolk State @ ODU - Shaky start against Eastern Michigan
North Texas @ SMU - SMU has improved. Has North Texas? Yes.
Rice @ Texas - Texas has no QB. Rice is a very smart team.
FIU @ Indiana - Indiana is bad. FIU is improving

2 big wins over the Big12, and another win over the Big10. Plus wins over the MAC and AAC. Should be another great week for C-USA.

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 2
Well, I was 11-1 in my week 1 picks. I had em but didn't post em. I missed on FAU since they drilled Tulsa last year.

Here's my week 2 picks. I'm just picking wins and not going points yet. Might add points on Thursday morning.

Thu., Sep. 10
Louisiana Tech @ WKU - La Tech to win. I saw WKU play in person and I think La Tech has the edge.

Fri., Sep. 11
Miami @ Florida Atlantic - Gotta go with Miami

Sat., Sep. 12
Kansas State @ UTSA - KSU
Presbyterian @ Charlotte - Charlotte
UTEP @ Texas Tech - Will be a good game but Texas Tech will win
Austin Peay @ Southern Miss - USM
Middle Tennessee @ Alabama - Bama but we cover
Marshall @ Ohio - Picking Marshall til they lose
Norfolk State @ Old Dominion - ODU
North Texas @ SMU - This one is a hard pick. I'm going SMU. Go Craddock!
FIU @ Indiana - FIU is tough this year. FIU all the way
Rice @ Texas - I'm going out on a limb. I'm picking Rice to get the P5 victory.
