Nah. They are getting call from Florida State to play for them.

Now allegations of racial slurs are being thrown around and the school is logging a complaint with the organization the referee works for.

If the official did, in fact, make racial slurs, he should be fired on the spot. That being said, that would not have in any way justified the actions of the two players. They should be thrown off the team regardless.

If the assistant coach did say what he is alleged to have said, then he should likewise be punished. Not for ordering his players to retaliate, because he did not do that. His players took it on themselves to be the "someone" who should get even. He should be punished because as an adult in this situation, he should not have undermined the authority of the referee. he should have used the situation as a "teachable moment" and taught his players to put their frustration behind them and just continue to play hard. Life is unfair sometimes, and complaining about it accomplishes no good purpose.

Among the many problems here, they hit him from behind and while he was on the ground.

Those two should be criminally prosecuted and permanently suspended from high school athletics. Unbelievable.

They hit the guy from behind, so there's no way he saw them/knew they were going to hit him. That's not assault. It's battery, though.
