Yep. The CUSA fans suddenly stopped yapping on the AAC forum.

Before I laud Temple, I want to see that D against Cincy. It was impressive but I have no clue what Penn State is supposed to look like this year.

Was the UCF vs. FIU game yesterday? I saw the boxscore last night but didnt look at the date. Funny because they were yapping about us having a good season last year and basically writing it off as a fluke season

not to hijack the thread but since UC/Temple came up...

I think this is going to be a great game. Temple D is for real. I can't be sure, but I assume UC's offense is a lot better than Penn States...but I will equally assume Penn State defense is better than UC's.

Glad this one is at home....that will help.

Gonna be a tough on. Wish it was on ESPN or ESPN2 instead of ESPN8 or whatever it's on.

Penn State was predicted to go 6-6 with a win against Temple. They were expected to be at the bottom of the Big 10 this season. Northwestern appears better than expected unless Stanford is overrated.

It's still really early, but as of now Penn State has dropped to a 4 win team expectations wise. Who knows. We'll all find out soon enough!

well that makes me feel a little better....

agree on Northwestern but then again maybe Stanford was way overrated.

It's just too early to tell right now.

One thing it seems...the AAC is a lot better this year than last. Again, after WK1 so take it for what its worth.

I knew Memphis and UC would be good....

UH and Temple were the wild cards to me....and I still don't know about them.

I was sure hoping Tulane would keep it respectable. They got trounced, and I can't even remember by whom.

And I watched the game. 01-wingedeagle

Anyway, point being, the AAC may be better this year, but we will still have enough bad losses by the lower quarter of the league for the commentators to claim we are FAR inferior to the A5 and even the MW.

Duke. They've been underrated the last 3 seasons in the sportsbook. Looks like Ill get to enjoy perhaps another season of making money on their lines

Ahh, that's right. Duke. Makes sense now, how I couldn't remember who it was. Not a household name when it comes to football.

RE: The AAC Did Well Yesterday
UC beat Duke in the Belk Bowl in 2012?......it was a really good game. It was Butch Jones last year at UC. We scored the go ahead TD with a minute or so left. Then sacked the Duke qb and he fumbled and we ran it in with seconds left to give us a bigger lead than was reflective of the actual game.

Point is...they were a pretty good team. I was impressed.

Oh, and their coach looks like Arnim Zola from the Capt. America movies lol.

You know, a guy on the UT board was laughing at a Vandy fan for calling the AAC a "bottom feeder conference" and asked how many teams in the AAC Vandy could actually beat. It's a legitimate question. I feel like the AAC teams have done a commendable job improving their programs to where at least the middle to lower tiers in the P5 would have to respect us.

Although Vandy should be experts on the term "bottom feeder", they really should pipe down and not bring any undue attention to themselves.

Vandy has no room to say crap to anybody. Last time we played them we shut their mouths in the 2011 Liberty bowl....I mean, normally you beat an SEC in a bowl game, that's a great year. But after that win it was like, eh...ok..

Maybe Temple's better than some of the mediocre, middle of the pack, Big 10 teams?
