Syracuse
Their starting QB, Terrell Hunt, is reportedly done for the season. I'm liking our chances in NY even more.

I doubt Hunt's mother will be coming in at QB.

No, but a true freshman did. I'll be curious to see how they do against Wake this weekend. Wake Forest is not good, but they should still be tougher than an average FCS team.

Heh. At the risk of ruining the joke, USA Today shows freshman Eric Dungey as the new Orange starter. They mentioned he is the second freshman QB to take over for the injured Hunt in as many years. However, they did not mention what happened to AJ Long. I assume this means he's not available.

Don't waste time trying to establish a running game. The three new offensive linemen are too young, too weak. Go to the spread and let Rush throw all day. Dink and dunk sweeps (to the running back ) mixed in with multiple formations and throws to 5 or 6 receivers (wideouts and TEs). Even Rawls didn't run that well against the orange. Throw Cooper, throw! Otherwise, we get eaten alive!

They looked a little better on our last couple of drives, but yes, the Bubs are still a bit unsettled. Rogers reportedly will be back at one guard spot soon; that may help. I also thought Hayes and Roberson looked a little better at RB than Walker and Spaulding. They don't go down after contact easily, that's certain.

Cooper spreading the ball around is going to give a lot of teams fits this season. I like our receivers, TEs, and backs in the passing game.

Rawls was suspended for the Syracuse game last year. It was right before game time. I think the team was a bit stunned at it and if Rawls had been available for that game, the score would have been closer.

Hopefully nothing like that happens this week and the Chippewas come out focused. I for one think this game will be much closer than last years contest.

My bad. I forgot about "that" suspension. I think it was more a case of Bumpkin Tumkin's defense upon further reflection. Hunt's absence will help us, but not much. Surprise me, CHImPS!

Syracuse's starting C and TE are game-time decisions with injuries. Some SU fans are concerned about facing Rush, after giving up 400 passing yards to Wake Forest. Our front seven on D are also mentioned.
