Is anyone going to hold Paul Haynes accountable for this debacle? Better yet will the university look at Joel?

Glad they went away for the week so that they could "bond".

This program is a drain our Athletic Dept. Somebody needs to be proactive and kill the program or drop it a level. Save, start up a lacrosse, soccer or hockey and move on.

Good news is I took Illinois minus the points.

That's nonsense!! 3 years ago they was MAC east champions going 8-0 in conference. Just because you hired the wrong coach don't mean you blow it up or drop football. I would bet you never played sports with your quitting attitude when things get tough.

1 yr winning since 1970? The wrong coach? All we have done is hire wrong coaches. Corrigal pees, Martin. Things have been tough for 40 freaking years. Support the programs that win. Our winning wrestling program operates on a shoestring budget along with hoops support programs that graduate their athletes. We lost a qb to grades? PH should be fired for that alone. Oh, your little personal dig. I ran at KSU getting a letter before suffering an injury. So move along.

So inspiring. Guess what its D1 big boy football. There are only 120 jobs like it. Deal with it. Football is a tough game. Illinois had to wait a day and they lost a coach 8 days ago and the players all know the coaches are likely lame ducks for the entire year.

Haynes IS NOT the guy. Done nothing but provide excuses for his 3 year here. But he's Joel's hire so i'll bet we're stuck with him. I watched BG and Western play a little. Its like they're playing a different game offensively. How long are we going to trot out a QB that looks like he should be playing at Ashland?

The funny thing is, there are still fools out there who don't think football at Kent State is a money pit.

It's a money pit at most schools, save for the privileged few.

What sport isn't a money pit?

Despite how bad our program has been it still brings positive PR to the University because of the number of fairly high profile NFL players we've turned out. On Thursday the NFL season starts with the Thursday night game between NE and PIT. Being the opener right after the Brady situation it's a very high profile game. There will be 5 KSU players in that game.

So in one more yr the Big 10 won't schedule fcs schools. Then after that they won't schedule mid majors. How will our football program stay a float without the influx of money?

One football payday game can pay the salaries of the football and basketball coaches. No other sport will make that much in one game.

Funny coincidence. On the Zippy board they are complaining about a transfer quarterback from Ashland who is not productive but starting, the local product Tra'von Chapman from Kent Roosevelt.
