OT: Holy Cow ECU....
Anybody watching this? ECU is allowing this FCS team look like Jim Brown running the ball on them. Wow.

Towson is no joke and neither is their running game. They have a 2nd year RB starting for the Browns and made the FVS title game last year IIRC.

I hate the arrogance of AAC fans, but first games are always unpredictable. It can be an indication of where you may finish; however, most programs improve significantly from the first game.

I get some of the dislike. But let's be honest you would jump ship for the AAC in a heartbeat. Every team in the CUSA would. Just like we did. More money, higher profile, basketball production, etc. It may be a short ladder but the AAC is higher up.

When you guys left the AAC was much different than it is today, especially in the basketball world. As a fan I like the teams we play in CUSA. I think there could be some good rivalries with more regional teams. Yes ECU was close to us, but we were never rivalries even in CUSA 1.0.

Marshall really shouldn't be talking too much sh* till they beat Purdue.

I am in no way saying we looked great against Towson.

I would not go to the AAC. CUSA is a much better conference for Marshall.

I will not talk any amount of trash against ECU. Purdue isn't the same as Kent State, Akron, or even Northern Illinois.

I'm not saying anything yet either, but I have confidence in my Herd. It's going to be a packed house at the Joan. Let's get it done!

RE: OT: Holy Cow ECU....
After paying the exit fees to the conference, I don't see that much upside monetarily. Also, you guys finished third in the G5 (the Tween spot) resulting in a decreased cash payout. Sure, Marshall can Coog It against Purdue tomorrow, but no matter how bad Purdue might be, they are not FCS Towson. This is exactly why CUSA fans are constantly laughing at your undeserved arrogance. You just make up **** to fit some overgrandized ideal you have of yourselves, but you are still G5 and according to recent performances, are not superior to CUSA programs in record or ranking. Reality is a *****.

RE: OT: Holy Cow ECU....
I don't think any of our administrations would turn down an AAC invite in 2015...if things keep looking like they're looking, that might not still be the case in a few years, especially if the AAC was looking to backfill, they probably lost some of their stronger members.
