Well if there was 45-46,000 at the MTSU game last year, I thought tonight's crowd was at least just as large and actually thought it was larger.

Per Dr Rudd the 41,7## number is paid gate. Students aren't considered paid tickets. It makes no sense to me why you wouldn't announce attendance reflecting the actual attendance.

It looked considerably larger. I don't think there were over 20,000 empty seats based on that number.

BGSU has a scary good offense. Our DB's better be ready. We'll probably be dogs against them.

41,730 Legit I'm proud of the students for being there. The most I've seen in a while. While I was tailgating and looking for a friend they were having a goooood time and they had some great looking tailgate set ups, it made me envious. I got to do better.

Has this always been the way we've announced our attendance or was it just last night?

I can't believe the stadium was nearly 1/3 empty. I was on the visitor side and there was not empty seats around me anywhere.

I saw that tweet and response, Jeb.

It does explain the apparent discrepancy, but it's an unusual practice to be sure. Why on earth would you NOT include the students in the legitimate attendance count?

I was there like many of the posters here and I thought the crowd was 44,000 MINIMUM and maybe 47,000+.

Still, a hot, humid night and a damn decent crowd for an outmanned opening game opponent. Should the TIGERS win the next two games and roll into that ESPN Thursday night game against the Bearcats and I bet there will be 50,000 + at that one.

On to Kansas, which got whipped by the highly underrated Jackrabbits of South Dakota State yesterday in Lawrence.

What is capacity now with the ADA changes and covering the south end zone? 59K?

Id say the 41K is pretty close. Really good for a FCS opponent.
