Kansas proving yet again why "P5" is such a meaningless barrier. Obviously the large portion of the best teams are there, but it's not like the top 65 schools or whatever. Using that separation would mean something if it wasn't largely a fluke of history for many schools

A lot of this, but most of the really poor football P5s are some of the best basketball schools in the country and that's where their value comes from (Kansas, Kentucky, etc). But you do have the Vanderbilts and Northwesterns and Iowa States of the world who simply got lucky over the last 120 or so years.

I'm here in the Rice Stadium parking lot and the weather is breaking up. I'm listening to the "conference report" on our local broadcast and it's really informative and thorough coverage; very conference- centered and promotive of CUSA. Y'all get something similar out there? Let's go CUSA!

Yes, it was South Dakota State. I just got back from the gym and watched the last 5 min or so of the game. The way it ended was great. KS down by 3 and tried to spike the ball to stop the clock with a few seconds left in the game to set up a game tying field goal. KU botched the snap and it was a fumble. The KU QB recovered the ball but the clock ran out. KU never had a chance for the game tying field goal.
