RE: GAME DAY!
Can you not buy tickets online the day of the game? Our original plans fell through and now we can make the game, but can't seem to buy tix on-line.

I think you have to buy them at the stadium

This is the first Home Game that I will be attending in 2-3 years. I'm so excited to see all of the improvements in the stadium. The Chessik center, the new scoreboad, the new turf. I can't wait!

Wait til you see the terrace club =)

And the tweaked menus for different locations. Try the brisket if you can find it!

While some people think it's sort of silly, I'm so proud of NIU for making attempts at bettering the program. So much has change in the past few years. Any small improvements are great, and I really am excited to see some excited fans in those tents. I get a feeling the tents will look nice when we put 6 on the board.

Agree. A lot of good changes since I was a student in the early 80s and started following the team. SF doesn't have the deep pockets that some schools have, but he does a vision and I'm on board. I'm proud also and end zone tents to me are just a small first step to a stadium expansion. Glad he's leading at this time.

Just called the ticket office and bought 4 tix through the 1965 promotion. Everyone may want to temper their attendance expectations. The gentleman I spoke with said only $10,000 tickets had been sold. He does expect a big walk up, but probably not 15,000 walk ups.

NIU only needs to sell a couple of those, if that's the price.

Does the 10,000 included students who get in free? Do they need ticket or simply show iD?

I would guess the 10,000 figure does not include students.

Correct, students aren't included in that figure

Spoke with someone in the athletic department. Tonight's projected crowd is about 10,000...total. Many, many students home for the weekend for Labor Day. Will be interesting to estimate the crowd and compare to announced attendance. In any case, expect to be disappointed.

I don't know if you're watching much college football today, but I can say that about 90% of the stadiums are lacking in attendance so far today.

Does anyone have a number to the ticket office? I've been calling for about an hour trying to buy tickets but it's been busy every time I've tried
