Very nice job by the administration
This was very well produced. Outside of the students arriving in the middle oft he first quarter everything was done well.

The video and audio production made for the best atmosphere I've ever seen at Wakdo. Parking, tailgating, traffic, music, and the halftime show were very well done.

To Flash's liking they used less band and more piped in music.

Game was entertaining. If MSU is a legit Top 5 I have no problem with how we played, particularly in the second half.

Concerned about Franklin, Phillips, and DePalma injuries.

Agreed. Just enough, didn't try to do too much

Still a lot of weird things they have to work out with the scoreboard but overall pretty solid for night 1.

I thought the fireworks were great.

Our students absolutely suck and deserve to be called out. Can't believe there were still seats in the student section. Embarrassing.

On the way back to our car after the game, walked past the student lot again and it was trashed beyond belief (worse than I've ever seen it). I know it's tailgating and this happens everywhere, but I've never seen that level of mess and destruction. That really ticked me off. Walking back next to a group of 4-5 students (who were pretty intoxicated) and even they made a few comments about how bad of a look that lot was for us. Have some respect and pick up a little bit, please.

Seems like a problem with this generation, they have to qualms about tossing their garbage wherever. I walk my dogs everyday in public parks and the trails are littered with plastic cups, empty water bottles and whatever. We were NOT like that at that age. Jerks.

You have selective amnesia. Litter, especially highway trash, was a HUGE problem BITD.

Remember commercial depicting Native American with tear trickling down cheek over it?

Like HJ said, work out some kinks with scoreboard/video, but ALSO audio. There was an issue in the Seelye endzone all night. It was like someone had a mic on, or there was a hot wire somewhere. There was always buzzing or muffled conversation...it was so annoying.

Not as annoying though as the asshat yelling WHITE in my ear all night, and all of the arrogant pricks who were so dismissive of our program.

I took issue with BMB, Spartan Band, and DJ constantly playing over each other. Was annoying. Too many parties for one stadium.

It was a night made for cacophony. I am slightly proud that the crowd was at least 51% WMU, but wish we could've outmatched "THEM" even more. I really let THEM get under my skin, which is on me.

But it was a unique atmosphere for sure. If WMU somehow beats MSU, the student section would be overflowing the rest of the year. I don't think our students will take the right cue from last night. Last night affirms for them that it's ok to cheer for your power 5 team while "supporting" your ******* SCHOOL!

30-45 min before the game there was 100's of WMU students in line trying to get in the game. Wondered if there was a computer glitch as it looked for a few minutes the line did not move. Quite obvious at 6:30 all those students could not possibly get admission via that one gate & have a seat by kick off.

I know those scanning tickets on the other side of the stadium were having major issues too. Our line moved slow too.

I was extremely disappointed and disgusted with what I was seeing on the television from ESPNU cameras. They showed MSUcks coming onto the field but would not give any camera time to the Broncos entrance or even pan out the cameras to show a packed stadium (minus the missing students).

Great photo MLive. I love it.

I never understood why they moved the student entrance, now they have to walk halfway around the stadium to get to some of the student seats. Crossing over the rest of the people coming in gate 1 too. And gate 2 is nearly dead.

MAJOR issue getting tickets scanned, mine didn't scan at all and they finally just waved me through, didn't even hit a turnstile either.

That makes sense. Students showed they just didn't fill it in until midway through the 1st

RE: Very nice job by the administration
Yeah well on our trip out we cruised through the Knollwood area and there was a serious party going on over in that area. Many clusters of 200-300 students playing drinking games. Lots of freshman hotties strolling around looking to improve their status. Very little game gear, short skirtsnand heels the dress of the day. Must have lost out in the lottery. Serious problem if you can't find seats for your own students. Hopefully they can fill it up for Central.
