That's really impressive. Is there a large number of WKU grads in Nashville?

Yes. Nashville, due to proximity, has a very large alumni base. That said, I saw TONS of fans from Bowling Green. We has 75 or so at our tailgating event across from the stadium. Great sign. I know several going to Bloomington to see The Indiana game. A decent number of us are planning on going to Baton Rouge for the LSU game.

Ahh, Vanderbilt. Beautiful to see pics from their stadium with away teams having just as many fans (even if it is that ugly red color 03-wink )!! For our game with them later this year they may bring about as many as Troy used to ( a few hundred ). I remember when we played them in BKB a few years back, there was around 9,000 for the game and only 200 or so Vandy fans. That was only a couple of miles from VU campus, 30+ from MT... Love it!!!

Most of those were heading back up I-65 and I have a change of opinion on worse driver to go 70 in the fast lane and set there. Add Ky into the mix with Tenn and Alabama. Can't count the number of times I had to pass a car by using the right lane with KY tags

Looking forward to meeting some posters at IU game, not much time to tailgate, but hope to get there around noon Sept 19th..

The announcer said an hour drive, is that about right? I'm sure it was Saturday ya'll would have had more and sold the stadium out.

Why the crap couldn't even HALF that number make the extra 30 mile drive to Murfreesboro last year?

We brought 3-5k to murfreesbo last year. I'm guessing we had 10-14k last night. There was red spread all around the stadium. I think most people like being close to downtown Nashville for party reason

yep. I knew several people that spent the night and took advantage of Nashville nightlife after game.

I honestly don't know a single person that would think of Murfreesboro and nightlife in the same sentence.

Way to travel. Stuff like that gives you a leg up when it's bowl selection time.

Nice! That's how it looked when the gamecocks were in town. I was in Nashville for a wedding and usc was playing vandy. I must have seen 15k gamecock shirts and a dozen or more vandy shirts downtown partying.

I'd say there was about 2,000-3,000 WKU students there. I know I personally went down with a group of about 150 WKU students.

Stephen, were you one of 30 MT fans that made the last trip to Bowling Green back in 2012? MT has no leg to stand on when discussing WKU vs MT traveling.

We brought 1-2,000 for that one...
