Gundy wins 8-9 games and he's fine.

With OSU's non-conference schedule, they'll easily get to 8 wins.

If the Tigers win 8-10 games this year plus a bowl, there will be substantial dollars available from the same sources that pooled $5 MM in an unsuccessful effort to keep Calipari.

There are differences in Fuente and what was then Cal's circumstance:

1. The NCAA isn't after Fuente

2. Fuente will have a sure Heisman candidate in Lynch, a bus load of returning offensive talent, and an experienced and talented defense....along with Jake's leg for 2016

3. The Big 12 is not assured but becoming more and more likely

Fuente will be back for 2016

Numbers 2 and 3 will dictate what happens after 2016

The Big XII doesn't have a title game. Plus there are 2 teams in the conference in the top 5.

Maybe Fuente wants to do here what Patterson has done at TCU. Given our new President and commitment to football (new practice facility, etc.) it is certainly possible.

Apologies, I was reading about SEC title game changes and forgot that the Big XII still doesn't have one. I meant Big XII title
