That would probably hepled. AAC goes 1-4 against CUSA last year; ends up a distant third behind CUSA in the conference power ratings. This year the reigning AAC champs lose to the fifth place team in the CUSA East. CUSA teams have done their talking on the field, and AAC talks about superiorty on message boards.

Dude, where can I buy whatever it is your sipping on?

You mean reality. fact- AAC distant third behind CUSA in conference power rankings

Lol....that site had the MAC as the number one G5 in 2012-2013. It had the Sunbelt #1 in 2013-2014 with CUSA coming in next to last. Hell of a site you got there.

Your champion's OOC was a joke. La Tech and Rice each played a couple P5s with La Tech also playing one in a bowl. On the flipside, UCF and Cincinnati both got P5s in their bowl and each played two P5s in the season. Memphis played two top 15 P5s and got one of the top Independents in their bowl. Houston and ECU also got bowl games vs P5 teams.

That plus Memphis meeting the second place team in CUSA east and beating them by 20 and only because the starters were pulled in the third quarter.

Honestly, it's the hubris in this board that attracts the comments. For example, your worst team could beat our best or the Tweener conference. When you have no statistics (none, nada, zilch, zero) to support these delusions, comments like "dickriding" to a team that outperformed every school in your league last year is subject to ridicule. Add the UCF fan preseason bravado spewed on our board, and you have to expect some blowback. If it makes you feel better to claim Super Bowl or our jealousy of your third place G5 finish last year in opposition to our second place, please do what you need to get through it.

Quit pretending your elite without doing **** to prove it, and our fans won't rub it in your face.

You Marshall fans are cute, there is more to being elite then just winning a couple of football games once every five years. You have to have a market, academics, some sort of fan following. That is why schools like Southern Miss and Marshall were left behind. The AAC cherry picked the best schools available. If you were one of the best schools then why were you not picked? Think about that. The AAC is superior in every way and it is not even close. We were so tired of being help back by schools like Marshall, Southern Miss and UAB that we literally reformed C-USA and added Temple and UCONN and left the trash behind. That has to sting, enjoy playing in your bush league conference, keep off our board. This board is reserved for real football programs.

Southern Miss was pretty solid most years. Their decline was recently.

But where is their market? Where is the fan support? They were lucky not to be kicked out of C-USA. Solid is a bit of a reach, they were more like mediocre for most years and solid for like maybe three of those years.

We're you actually following Tulane during the CUSA years? 1996 to a couple years ago. You guys couldn't carry S Miss 's water during those recent years! A couple years of playing in the AAC has you thinking some odd things... " we beat you " we won championships ". ...."But, but you have a small market." News flash: Nebraska has a small market too, and you guys will never get more than 25k to your games in your huge market.

But the bottom line is we were called up to the better league and Southern Miss was not. Most people point out that it was because of the losing seasons they have had the last few years so by that logic it does not matter what has happened in the past 30 years it only matters what happens right now. Southern Miss is not even on the same planet as Tulane. We are in the superior conference, we have the superior market, we have the superior academics, this contest is not even close. Tulane is more respected in football then Southern Miss will ever be. The AAC took Tulane because they know we are a sleeping giant, if Southern Miss were our equals then why were they not chosen? It is because they are bush league. C-USA is bush league and thank the football gods we were freed from that garbage. Southern Miss from any year could not compete in this league whether it be 1999 or 2011, they would finish dead last every time, hell Brett Favre himself would get destroyed in this league. That is why Tulane was chosen, we can compete and Southern Miss cannot. That is why they show up on our board and try to tear down this league, the jealousy is strong with that group.

No, I mean whatever intoxicants allow you to think that the CUSA, where all the top teams left, could be better than the American where they went to.

No one cares about your 'who-gives-a-****.com' ranking that's inflated because Marshall played a crea puff schedule to end all creampuff schedules and your conference has extremely few tie ins to P5 bowl games.

No one cares that you won the Mieneke-Blown-Head-Gasket bowl.

Dude, either up or lower your meds as appropriate. Southern Miss football is considered a MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger football program than Tulane. The reasons for Tulane's inclusion had nothing to do with football. Southern Miss football is 23-7 vs Tulane including the last 6 in a row. I hope you're a troll and don't believe the crap you write.

We were included because we bring the market, the academics, and the potential to be a football powerhouse. I do not know who you have been talking to but everybody knows Tulane is a much bigger and respected brand then pathetic little Southern Miss. I shouldn't even have to explain myself.

People outside of New Orleans....college football fans....besides one good season in 98 when has Tulane had a big time season in football or basketball? I agree you should stop explaining yourself....because it just makes you look sillier. That potential powerhouse has had 6 winning seasons in 35 years. The basketball team has had three NCAA appearances....EVER. If you want to 'explain yourself' explain THAT.

Transitt and billybobby, I don't think that you're going to make any headway in a discussion with that guy. The bolded statement speaks for itself. You're in the Twilight Zone with that guy. Anyone that's played USM before the last few years knows that statement is so misinformed it's hard to comment intelligently on it. I also take exception to CUSA being garbage in the past (or even now) but it's a waste of time/effort.........

Ever seen a really nerdy guy get added to a fraternity? They usually are put in there because they have rich parents with a cool lake house and they help pull the chapter's GPA up. Welcome to the fraternity; nerd.

Does not matter how we got here even though we both know your reasoning is far from the truth. We are here and I am surprised by all the hatred coming our way when it should be directed towards those pathetic Crap-USA schools and their ridiculous fans who honestly believe they belong on the same field as us.

Whats realty funny is this is the same site Krucifff used on AAC strength schedule. I then started looking around the website and notice CUSA had won almost twice as many games against 1-75 ranked opponents as the AAC. Thats why the AAC power ranking was a distant third behind CUSA.

Makes sense though CUSA finished the year strong with 4-1 bowl record and AAC 2-3
Your perception of reality doesnt change the facts. Think what you want but anyone can look at the stats and come to logical conclusion about the strength of conference last year.

Thanks. I will continue to use my own eyes and common sense to filter any information I have. Any website that claims the Sunbelt was the top G5 conference is suspect. You are free to rely on it if you wish.
