The University of Washington and Alaska Airlines have again partnered on a naming-rights deal for one of the university’s venerable athletic facilities — now to be dubbed Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.
The deal is worth $41 million over 10 years, the UW said, making it the largest deal of its kind in college athletics. More than half of Alaska Airlines’ investment is earmarked directly for student-athlete scholarships and welfare.
Based on this what could NIU realistically get, 5 million for 10 years?

I would think $4mil for 10 years would be max... just due to lack of tv coverage..
Also who would sponsor: Monsanto(Dekalb Seed), First National of Omaha(Castle Bank), Waste Management, Republic, Johnson Controls,

Akron got $10 mil for 20 years with even less TV coverage than we have been getting.

I'll add to the list... UPS (hub in Rockford), Southwest Airlines (they've never done a naming rights deal, and although they'd probably do a professional sports venue, why not start at a less expensive option? http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily...hwest.aspx) Lots of business out of Midway...
Another question I'd have is...I wonder if they'd package a naming rights deal with both HS and the Convo.
