Those are awesome. What a great idea by the Arkansas Athletics/Facilities department. Maybe once HS is upgraded we can think of using something like this.

These are a great way to keep the greeks and other student orginizations at the games.

I think 2 of these specifically for the student organizations would do very well in keeping those groups at the game.

I could see something like this done at the top of the West stands where they could platform off a deck and have it covered on top and to the west to help block off the wind.

Though when I see anything like this my first concern is for the safety of the people who are likely drinking. I have see too many stories on twitter about fans falling down to the next level.

As long as we are being generous with skyboxes, I would like to see a special skybox for morbidly obese fans (like myself). In order to maintain the interest of these corpulent fans, seats will be wider and better supported than ordinary seats. Of course, the food in the skybox will need to consist of fat-rich items such as 15 different varieties of sausages (and, of course, hot dogs). The skybox will need to be structurally braced and anchored to support all the weight. To do this, a small tax will be added to each ticket purchased. Hey, c'mon now, the users can't pay for it themselves or that would be discriminatory. All the way with ADA! We fatties have our rights!! [Image: fat_man-2170.gif]

It's a very smart idea. Not all people go to football games to actually watch football. Bunch of weirdos.

More and more of these party decks will be popping up across the country. People want the tailgating atmosphere to extend into the games. One great way to do it.

You may be right about this, and it may be a way to get fans out of the parking lots during the game and a way to keep the students through the whole game. People these days want to be in a party every minute of their existence - drinking, eating, socializing, and playing with their phones. So, let's give them the atmosphere to do that while taking their money. They may not know who's playing or that there is even a game going on on the field, but at least well get them - and keep them - in the stadium.

That is really cool, there is a lot of support for athletics at Arkansas. No wonder our new President at UT, former chancellor at Arkansas, approved the east side stadium upgrade at the Glass Bowl less than 30 days on the job. Construction will begin right after the season ends and be ready for 2016 season.
