Congrats guys on a great, great win. It had to feel especially good to block that last minute field goal to preserve the win. Way to get the season off to a super start for C-USA. The rest of us have some work to do.

Good win FIU. Not gonna lie, it was pretty nice with all the silence from the UCF fans on the AAC board last night.

the two missed 2pts conversations almost cost FIU the game. What were the decisions for going for 2pts conversions with a lot of time left?

Not the best of decisions as far as I was concerned. FIU down 14-3 at half and takes opening drive in for score to cut margin to 4, 14-9. A two point conversion cuts the deficeit to 3 and given UCF's defensive reputation, maybe our coach thought this was going to be a FG game and needed to get to that 3 point margin with the 2-point conversion.

Like you said, there was too much time in the game for that decision but this is one of the few decisions I question the entire night.

I said in the game thread but want to throw it out here again: I really like the look of your FR RB (the guy from Dale, Miami). He is quick and shifty.

Pretty good feeling when we blocked that last FG and their fans went silent and stunned. We earned that victory against UCF. Thanks to all for the kind words.

The freshman RB/WR you are talking about is Miami Dade County Player of the Year, Anthony Jones, who chose FIU over late offer from Miami. I loved what I saw from him the only two touches he had, and am cautiously optimistic he will continue to improve and grow his game as this season comes along. He is a special talent indeed.
