What a crappy kickoff time...especially to start the season.

This is one of the many downsides of college football selling it's soul to television.

I live in Melbourne and would normally make it to games like this. Just can't pull off 6pm.

Heading to a sports bar though, so.. that kinda counts, right? Helping tv numbers?

Completely torn on this game.

1.) A win against another G5 confrence helps set my confrence apart so pulling for FIU would be natural.

2.) Its FIU, and I find it very difficult to pull for them at all in anything.

I guess Ill be happy either way, if UCF wins its a loss for our rival, if FIU wins my confrence gets a leg up.

Hope players on both sides stay safe.

They both were pretty bad last year (FIU, slightly better), but FIU looks to be much better this year. They return a lot of starters on defense and have continuity on the coaching staff. If UCF comes out with the attitude that FIU is going to roll over like an FCS, they'll be in for some trouble.

FIU is the one that was really good when they had TY Hilton and knocked off Louisville, but then they had a 6-6 season and fired their coach and things spiraled out of control after that.

But you always have to be wary of teams loaded with south Florida talent, especially when playing an in-state school where they know the other team's players and want to show them up.
