They are on a island. I bet they are not totally unused to heat and humidity.

Brief lightning delay has forced teams to suspend warm-ups for a bit. But it may not last long. It's only a light rain at the stadium.

Not sure what Rice's policy is, but at other venues, what I've seen is that the collapsible umbrellas are allowed, but golf umbrella styles (long/pointy) are not.

Of course, now that umbrellas with coverage like a golf umbrella now come in a collapsible style, you can have the coverage and get it in now.

That's what I had. A collapsible with large coverage. It's about a foot long when collapsed.

The sign at the gate says umbrellas aren't allowed. People with full-size umbrellas were getting turned away. Apparently you can get away with a collapsible.

Unfortunately, the lightning delay meant that my recording stopped in the middle of the 3rd quarter. So I missed German and Walter's 4th quarter TD runs. (Can anyone post video clips of them ... here or on the game thread?)

But I did enjoy watching the Owls play so well, the pre-recorded interviews with JK and Coach Rhodes, and the ASN commentators saying so many nice things about Rice.

Not to mention this cameo by PTH after DJ's fabulous TD run in 2Q:
