Basically, he said he was homesick at Memphis because he a had just graduated from high school and it was a his first time away from home, however close. He's not homesick at VA because he's two years older and has matured.

Yep K2, the comment about development really stood out to me.

Still can't believe we let him get away from our program.

Never thought he'd be a Tiger from the outset....painful to see now.... wish he had stayed the course...would have been one of the greatest Tigers ever.

His original intention was to go away for school, the whole experience, but he got wrapped up in all the Memphis hometown rep your your city stuff. Did you expect him out come out and say i was not man enough at home to tell Dada to stay out of my life. UVA was not his choice it was Dada's choice. Another in a long line of basketball Dada's trying to live out their fantasies through their kids and looking for a large pay off in the future.

Wish Bowen had balls to ask for investigation of the ties between Dada and attorney to see if there was not tampering going on before Austin got release from U of M.

He got better, look at his stats from year one to year two, and that was with horrendous coaching. Imagine how much better he'll get with a guy who can actually coach him.
Kudos to Nichols for recognizing that and not slipping deeper into the coma Pastner would have put him in.

Yeah THAT'S what our program needs right now.

I anticipate AN doing very well at UVA. It's gonna hurt, but I can't say I blame him...just should've handled it better. I think he knows that too, but his camp had to play hardball to get what they wanted.
