Watching ESPN3 Games on TV...Curious?
ESPN recently announced select ESPN3 football games will be televised on Cable Providers such as Verizon FIOS and Comcast.

Obviously we can watch those games free online as long as you have an account with Verizon Fios, Comcast, etc but can you watch them for free as well on TV or is there a cost like the old ESPN Game Plan?

Has anyone researched this yet? I believe Verizon Fios will show those games on 1010-1015 at least in the Washington, DC area.

Not EXACTLY an answer to your question...

But if you have an XBOX or PS4 and have the ESPN app, they have all active ESPN3 channels available to watch on that app, as long as you are a subscriber to whatever cable provider, including Fios, etc.

That's how I watch ESPN3 on TV.

it is game plan....they re-purposed the channels for game plan to these college channels..so you are going to need some sort of added sports package to see it

I have only looked into this for DIRECTV, but with that provider, it sounds like select games will be available to anyone with the Sports Pack. This is from their FAQ section.

Since ESPN no longer offers GamePlan and Full Court, where can I watch out-of-market college basketball and football games?

ESPN has removed GamePlan and Full Court from its lineup, so we no longer carry them as separate packages. But don’t worry, you can still watch live out-of-market ESPN college football and basketball games on ESPN College Extra (Channels 788-789) with a subscription to DIRECTV Sports Pack. You can also get your up-to-the-second college football and college basketball with ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater (included with Sports Pack).

ESPN Collecge Extra brings you exclusive live college sports events year-round, including football, basketball, and more as a part of the DIRECTV Sports Pack. These games are available on Channels 788-789.

ESPN Goal Line provides live look-ins and analysis of college football games around the country. It’s available on Channel 615 from 12PM to 12AM ET on Saturdays during the college football season, from late August to the end of November.

ESPN Buzzer Beater provides live look-ins and analysis of college basketball games around the country. It’s available on Channel 615 from 7PM to 11PM ET on Tuesdays and 12PM to 11PM ET on Saturdays during the college basketball season.

Best thing to do IMO is to get a Roku or Amazon fire TV and use the ESPN app. They will show all of the ESPN3 games, and plus you can go back and rewatch if you want. That is what we do.

Or, almost every cable provider offers ESPN3 online, so just buy an HDMI cable, and connect your computer to your TV.

Thanks. I believe I am set. I do have the Sports Package through Version Fios. Just did not see the actual games with Team names posted yet to the channel line up. I will check it out Saturday. Anyone seeing the lineup yet?

Bingo.

Or if you are technology challenged, the Roku offers a simplistic user interface to watch Netflix, WatchESPN, and others. Quite honestly, I've found Roku to be fantastic.

Yeah, but ususally I am on my computer while the game is on. The Roku just lets me leave it on the tv, and not worry about moving laptops. Besides, that's what I use to watch Netflix, HBOgo, Hulu, etc.
