He has a great attitude and outlook- cites the whole thing as "that's the NFL" and is staying in shape. worked out for Jets last week.

Yeah, I don't get the Ravens letting him go. He made a great showing in the games he played during preseason and they really need a good player in that position. Their first round draft pick in that position hasn't played one down for them yet because he has been injured. What a waste.

Also doesn't make sense since Perriman is out and continues to be out for them.

I am not happy with the move and think it stinks too but what other reasons do you hate the Ravens? Are you a Steelers fan or something?

Annoying/spoiled fans
Ray Lewis
Ray Rice
Pompous owner who covered up the Ray Rice scandal
Purple Camo shorts
Fans who always blame the refs no matter what
Fans who can't conceive of any reason why someone would dislike their precious team
Doing Daniel Brown shady

There are more, but only so many hours in the day.

All bogus reasons except for doing Daniel Brown wrong. I don't care if people like the Ravens or not but I am curious as to why Redskin fans hate them so much since they are not even in the same conference.

That is the NFL, straight business. He was a very long shot anyway , but he did very well for himself this preseason and got some great film out there.

RE: 2015 Dukes in the NFL thread
I will say living in the DC-metro area it is annoying to have Baltimore coverage. No one cares. If you do care, go back to Baltimore or get NFL Sunday Ticket. It's not hate, it just that we don't want your Baltimore crap on our TVs. That's all. Or is Baltimore not big enough for it's own market? Too much coverage for a major league team not in DC. Even the Orioles don't get as much coverage as the Ravens.

Does this happen in Philly too? I mean Philly is just about as close to Baltimore - do you guys have to listen to their crap too on Comcast SportsNet and such?

Try changing the channel if that bothers you so much. The Ravens are MD's home team and much of the DC metro area is in MD. The TV market overlaps so I can say the same about Redskin coverage on TV but I am not a hater or jealous of the Redskins. The Redskins are simply irrevelent to Ravens fans.

RE: 2015 Dukes in the NFL thread
Old man Smith and Campanaro went out last night with injuries. I imagine they will have a better idea of extent of the injuries later today but neither seemed serious. If they are suddenly down two WRs look for a practice spot to open up as they will probably move Jeremy Ross to the active roster.

Also screw Scobee, he is worst than Bourne.

Sage has been cut again (this time from the Redskins practice squad). Hopefully, he is now on NFL teams' radar and will get picked up again soon.

Sucks for Sage, but I still take it as a positive that they brought him back for another look. Can mean he is right on the bubble and may get more chances for looks as the season goes on and guys get hurt.

Can he play defense? Good lord we are awful, but this is good to hear. He will get a shot this year with the putrid options we already have/injuries

RE: 2015 Dukes in the NFL thread
I'm hopeful DA to makes an announcement today.

Steve Smith went out with a season ending injury. Jeremy Butler was activated a couple weeks ago. Jeremy Ross was upgrade about a month ago. I don't believe their is another WR on the practice squad but the Ravens did trade for Chris Givens a couple weeks back so hopefully they don't look outside the organization again.

Also interesting that as I wrote this post the ravens depth chart links started sending back 404 errors.

RE: 2015 Dukes in the NFL thread
Quote:Harbaugh acknowledged that general manager Ozzie Newsome and the team's front office was looking around the league and at the free agent market for potential help. They are working out a number of wide receivers, including former New York Giants starter Hakeem Nicks, on Tuesday. The Ravens could also opt to promote rookie Daniel Brown, who starred during the preseason, from the practice squad.

"I wouldn't rule out that we'd bring in another receiver from somewhere," Harbaugh said. "Obviously, we're looking real hard right now to figure out what we're going to do."
