Not to be rude, but what is your point? Some of the best players in the country go to Huntington Prep then go sign with the big boys. Andrew Wiggins, Gorgui Dieng, etc.

The point is year after year 3 and 4 star recruits come out of the area and Marshall never even gives these kids a look. Watch, this kid won't get an offer from the Herd.

Actually there is a lot of contact (all legal) between MU & HP. Most player though have their sights set on ACC, Big 10, etc. Not CUSA. Many HP players LOVE Huntington though and have come back often.

Dude, if you can convince them to play for Marshall, go for it. I don't know why we didn't get Wiggins either. If we can't out recruit Kansas, Duke, UK, etc. we should just give up.

Seriously though, go down to the Marshall rec center when Prep is there practicing. It's a great chance to get autographs from the who's who of college basketball coaching.

Didn't get this kid from Point
http://m.ulmwarhawks.com/mobile/ViewArti...M_ID=19000

Or this kid from Ripley
http://www.sltrib.com/sports/2058186-155...t-virginia

And so on and so on...

I was looking back over recruits for the past 8 years or so and Marshall hasn't gotten a single one from any high school in WV. It wouldn't be as aggravating if the Herd was winning.

Not even an offer. Would he stay? Probably not. But why roll over and give up and let every other program scarf these guys up with out even saying hello?

Chase Fischer was recruited and committed to Marshall. He broke his commitment.
