totally agree. I wonder if part of it was the suit he had against Texas Tech- the other schools maybe wanting him to give that up.

They need a close by rivalry for all sports. Boise State could be the answer.

Many Cardinal fans were disappointed when Charlie strong left Louisville. Most Felt He would wind up at Florida when that job opened up and that would have been a great place to have landed. Texas was an Abyss for Him. No outside connections to Texas recruiting bases, Fan bases ect. Might as well have landed on Mars for what He had connections with. Moving across country can be hard anyway, but to move into the Big Fishbowl in Texas as an outsider is a mission that requires very thick skin. Charlie can succeed there but it will take time. If time is given.

Cliff would do well to quit pretending to be a model and try being a coach instead.

Leach has a sweet contract so that will be hard to fire him this year…Be funny if he did get fired and than took the idaho job, could keep his house.

It's too early for the hot seat, but Tennessee fans have to be spitting fire.

That actually pretty typical. Most teams usually have 50-60 freshmen and sophomores

It's a mixed bag, you're both right. There's a few walk-on upperclassmen on the team. Give them the schollie, and it's not like it's business as usual.

Whatever the lines are for Michigan, OSU, and Sparty, take the over against the Lions with both hands. High school offenses run with more depth to them. Still think he's incapable of 6-6, and if he gets there or beyond, he's gone. Fans aren't behind him...never fully will be.

-Mike London, Virginia- could be the first coach fired during the season.

-Paul Rhoads, Iowa State- This is his 7th season there so he’s no longer fixing anyone else's mess.

-Kyle Flood, Rutgers- when Rutgers joined the B10 it truly became a big time program, and they’re going to want a big time coach.

-Kevin Wilson, Indiana- I’m surprised he’s still there.

-Willie Taggart, South Florida- this is only his second season, but what once looked like an excellent hire has been a complete flop.

-Bob Davie, New Mexico: What an awful, uninspiring hire.

-Scott Shafer, Syracuse- it’s only his third year but the Orange went 3-9 last year and I don’t think things will improve from here.

-Al Golden, Miami- he’d be far higher on this list if Phil Steele weren’t so enthusiastic on the Canes this season.

-Darryl Hazell, Purdue- It’s only his third season and don’t think he’ll be fired, but he’s 4-20 here and another two or three win season would make him not being retained a possibility.

Isn't Indiana 4-0?

Coincides wonderfully with Peyton Manning being in his last season with the NFL.

It wouldn't surprise me. But I think Butch has at least one more year. He's been recruiting like a gang buster. But he's still just getting started in Knoxville.

IMO Charlie Strong is in a similar position to Butch Jones. Although he hasn't been tearing it up on the recruiting trail, like Butch. But like Tennessee, Texas has a reactionary fanbase, and the good ole boy network is firmly in place. Who knows what the future holds there.

We shall see on both fronts, I figure.

Fedora needs to go regardless of the Heel's record.

I think UNC needs to sit tight with Fedora, who are you going to get right now that's better...he is doing a good job in recruiting, just have to get a legit defense and I think they will be ok.
