John Wall, Amar'e Stoudamire, and Demarcus Cousins were better than King, but not by much

Sidney Coles was the Derrick Rose of the 92-93 squad. He was a heckuva player.

In all seriousness, King had the potential to be a Rodney Douglas type contributor

Rodney also couldn't dribble with or handle the ball with his off hand

But, Rodney made himself indispensable with hustle defense, rebounding and full force motor play

Rodney was NOT trying to play the 3, handle the ball outside, and didn't lag on defense

Really: How did Nick's dad and AAU coaches let him get so far into his career without being able to simply dribble with his right hand?

NBA...NO. Play the 3.....NO. Auburn.....maybe because Pearl will play him to his JP Prince role....which is what Pastner repeatedly tried to get him to do.

Careful.

He/she/it is comfortable in his/her/its own skin, whichever screen name is used. Might be a good fit for UTK, what with their new gender neutral pronoun policy.

"Ummm, didn't he transfer to Alabama?????"

No, Rodney stay here his four years and was an All American as a senior. Goes to show what you can achieve, if you're not a quitter.

RE: Was Nick King greatest Tiger ever?
No, but nick king was part of one of the best last possession plays ever run at memphis. Down 2 at home vs the mighty tulsa hurricanes with like 15 seconds left and tigers had the ball and didn't go inside or drive to the rim to get a good look or force a foul like most teams. Instead they did the weave outside the 3 point line which ended in nick king's 3 pointer at the buzzer from nearly half court ( or what josh calls the top of the key). It was just genius. Josh had his fingers crossed while the ball was in the air, but it was just bad luck that the shot didn't fall. Couldn't catch a break last year. Law of averages will work itself out next year. We will get our best player, austin nichols, back healthy. Finishing that game without nichols was like the grizzlies without marc gasol. Teams could get us last year, but next year will be our year.
