football scheduling philosopy
my ideal schedule would be a home and home with both troy and usa. that way we would have one instate FBS home and away game every year. for the one fcs home game I would try and schedule instate as well with Alabama A&M, State, and Jacksonville being my first choice because of their fan bases and bands. The last ncg would be a money away game. if we get a home and home with a more attractive match up like Memphis or a 2-1 deal with an ole miss type we drop the fcs that year.

Would you include Samford on that list?

Scuttlebutt is one money game. Two home and home and one FCS team every year with that team being a SWAC school more often than not. Heavy emphasis in Bma state and A&M. Yes Troy and USA will be included in H&H

not sure about fan support but if we cant get any of the three above they would be about the next best option.

+1 but bad thing about it, is that USA is booking itself quickly so would be almost up to 2020 before the series between us that should've started this year would start - Watts just keeps on giving it to UAB. There's still quite a few FCS that are close regionally so would bring a little crowd but still like ASU/AAM for the bands/crowds they'd bring

Not too long from now, we'll be bringing up the fact that we don't have any games scheduled in 2017 & beyond (again). Coach did say we had plenty of schools interested in playing UAB but there may be a point where they're looking for who could offer us the biggest pay day.

Well ASU plays Auburn in 2018. So 2018 is booking up fast.
