Any truth to rumor floating around that K. Linder has been let go?

RE: Womans softball
Is this a real resignation or a Mike Morrow type resignation? Does anybody know?

That's too bad. I took her coaching softball class while at Kent---she was a nice person and a true Golden Flash.

I can empathize with Coach Linder. College athletics is more of a business (profit/loss) than pure athletic competition anymore. In the end, money ruins everything. It is becoming ever pervasive at all levels of college (and even high school) athletics.

What's the story? I don't look at the RC enough to make it worthwhile to get past the pay wall for a few stories a year.

There seemed to be something fishy about the story IMO. There must be more than the reasons given in the RC.

RE: Womans softball
Sounds like she was asked to change something in the way she did things and decided she did not want to.

We also lost one of our long time wrestling assistants. He became an assistant at Cleveland St. Also seems kind of odd. Why would you go to a program that almost was eliminated. When do we find out about the consultants report? Did I miss it or has it not been released yet. I'm starting to wonder what's going on.

Read the suit (or the story). It's a pretty damning case. I'd hate to be the university's defense attorney.

The heavy in the suit is just as much Nielsen as Linder.
